Some long travel days may be required to complete this itinerary and you will typically spend two nights at each destination, with some one night stays required. You will be required to move about unassisted, including getting on and off vehicles, walking up and down stairs and some activities will be conducted on uneven or steep terrain. Arrival at the airport will be followed by a personal reception and a private transfer to your hotel. At 7:00 PM, you'll have a welcome gathering with your Tour Director at the hotel's Reception Desk, where you'll also get to know your fellow travellers for the journey.
The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy as you please.
After your included breakfast, embark on a morning exploration of one of the world's most historic cities, as you take part in a captivating Rome City tour. Our journey concludes at Saint Peter's Square, situated right in front of St. Peter's Basilica within Vatican City, the Vatican's papal enclave in Rome.
We will make a visit (with entrance included) to the renowned Sistine Chapel. Its significance is primarily attributed to the magnificent frescoes that adorn its interior, notably the Sistine Chapel ceiling and The Last Judgement, both masterpieces crafted by Michelangelo.
In the early evening, gather with your fellow travellers for a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant.
After breakdast, the day is yours to explore and experience the timeless beauty of Rome at your own pace. Alternatively you can join an optional tour (organised locally).
Following an early breakfast, set out for Pompeii, where you'll explore the well-preserved ancient city ruins, frozen in time after a catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius (entry included).
Following the historical and archaeological wonders, consider indulging in some Vesuvian wine (Lacryma Christi) during a wine tasting session and enjoying a light lunch at the vineyard.

Head to Salerno and embark on a captivating boat journey to explore the Amalfi Coast. Along the way, make stops in the picturesque towns of Amalfi and Positano.
After breakfast, embark on a journey to Caserta to explore the Royal Palace of Caserta (Reggia di Caserta), the former royal residence built by the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies for their royal reign in Naples. Notably, the Royal Palace of Caserta holds the distinction of being the largest former royal residence globally.
Afterward, return to Rome.
In the early evening, come together with your fellow travellers for a genuine and traditional farewell dinner at a Pizzeria, where you can also take part in a cooking master class before enjoying an unforgettable dinner.
Savour a sumptuous buffet breakfast at your hotel. At the appropriate time proceed with a private transfer to the airport.

Fitness Requirements
While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity. These guidelines are to ensure that each tour group is conducted as expected and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all Inspiring Vacations customers.
As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available.
This particular tour is categorized as a ”3”
3 – Moderate Tour: A good level of fitness and mobility is required, as this tour includes a moderate level of physical activity and is considered a medium-fast paced tour. You should be able to walk up and down stairs, get on and off the coach and able to walk reasonable distances of approximately 2 kilometres per day or more with ease. Any physical ailments you may have must be disclosed at the time of booking to determine your suitability. If you have any form of walking aids, other than a walking stick or hiking poles, then this tour is not suitable.
Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. Tipping is not compulsory on your trip, but they can make a big difference to locals employed in the tourism industry. If you feel that your guide and driver have done an impeccable job, you can choose to give a gratuity, but this is entirely your decision.

The accommodation listed is subject to change. Any changes will be of an equal or higher standard. Bedding configurations (double or twin) are requests only. All efforts will be made to meet your preferences, however, any changes are beyond our control.

Please be aware that if, based on evaluation by our leader or local representative, a participant is deemed unable to safely complete the itinerary, we retain the right to exclude them from all or part of the trip without reimbursement.
It is advisable to consult your physician for current medical travel advisories and any required vaccinations before embarking. We recommend carrying a first aid kit and any necessary medications in their original packaging, as they may not be readily available during travel.
