Take a ferry to UNESCO-listed Robben Island for a tour of the former prison for political prisoners, and where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison.
Weather permitting, the first stop on today's tour is Table Mountain (ticket included), a Cape Town icon and likely the most photographed landmark in the country. It's no wonder more than 22 million people have taken the trip on the aerial cableway to the top, high above the clouds.
At the end of Cape Town's Atlantic seaboard, we'll enjoy an authentic fishing village experience when we visit the working harbour of Hout Bay – think colourful fishing boats moored on the dock, fish markets, restaurants, street markets and shops overlooking the bay. You'll find everything from jewellery to maritime artifacts and seashells.
Chapman's Peak, or 'Chappies' as the locals call it, is the famous scenic drive that winds between Hout Bay and Noordhoek on the Atlantic Ocean coastline. There are more than 100 curves along the nine-kilometre road, with towering cliffs on one side and a steep drop to the ocean on the other. It's a favourite for hikes, drives and picnicking.At the famous Cape of Good Hope nature reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site, you'll be able to stroll along cliff paths or venture down the steep slopes to the stunning white-sand beaches below. Take the Flying Dutchman funicular (ticket included) uphill to the old lighthouse overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It's a short three-minute trip that passes through dense shrubland and over rocks. These views are spectacular and the air is among the purest in the world.
At Boulders Beach, you'll have a chance for penguin spotting. Home to an endangered land-based colony of African penguins, you can see these unique animals in their natural habitat. Walk between the three pristine and sheltered beaches on boardwalks – to protect the penguin nests – which link to the penguin-viewing area.
You'll experience the world-class wines of the region today with a full day exploring the country's principal wine routes of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. You'll have three wine tastings at prestigious estates and journey through rolling vineyards in a vintage-style railway tram.
This part of the world boasts stunning landscapes, interesting architecture and fabulous cuisine. Franschhoek boasts a French influence and its quaint village is home to art galleries, boutique hotels and antique shops.
This morning we'll head to Hermanus, whale-watching capital of South Africa. This lovely seaside town retains its quaint fisherman’s village charm while still offering a thriving resort experience.
During whale watching season, you’ll take a boat trip to see these majestic creatures. We’ll begin with an on-land briefing by a whale specialist guide before heading to the catamaran to ride to the Hermanus New Harbour.
Whale season is between June and mid-December but it's at the whim of these gentle giants. If you're lucky enough to see these mighty beasts frolic, the permit allows the boat to go as close as 50 metres.
We'll then head to Sumaridge Estate Wines for wine tasting and a light lunch.
You’ll have about a four-hour journey this morning to enjoy the Garden Route, an area celebrated for its distinctive natural beauty. We’ll pass through the villages of Riviersonderend, Barrydale and Calitzdorp.
We'll arrive in Oudtshoorn, the ostrich capital of South Africa, in time for lunch and a two-hour afternoon bush safari.
Your luxury tented accommodation will make you feel as if you have been immersed in the wild lands of Africa. Wildlife abounds in this region – some species you are likely to encounter include elephant, rhino, giraffes, lions as well as hippos at the watering hole that's close to the lodge.
For dinner, enjoy delicious South African cuisine in your rustic surrounds.
The Oudtshoorn area is celebrated for its natural beauty and has the most sunny days per year in the whole country. The rest of the day will include two excursions in Oudtshoorn – the truly spectacular underground wonder of the Cango Caves and a safari ostrich farm.
We’ll drive to Knysna via the mountainous Outeniqua Pass. Be prepared for the twists and turns – it's worth it for the stunning views over the ocean framed by endless mountains.
We'll take the ferry to Knysna's famous Featherbed Nature Reserve, with its abundance of plant, bird and small wildlife, as well as a variety of marine life. We'll discover the 2.2km trail that winds its way through Milkwood Forests up to steep sandstone cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It also meanders past ancient Khoi sea caves and through indigenous wilderness.
When we've finished the trail, you'll enjoy a buffet lunch at the restaurant on the edge of the lagoon.
We’ll leave for Tsitsikamma today, and on the way enjoy a visit to Storms River Mouth (included), where the Storms River meets the Indian Ocean. The waves are spectacular here.
In Fynboshoek, we will enjoy an artisan cheese-making demonstration followed by a cheese tasting and harvest lunch.
The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore. Your hotel is located in the foothills of the Tsitsikamma Mountains and there is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity, whether it's a dip in the lodge's swimming pool or hiking the trails into the forest. Birdwatchers will be in their element here.
You’ll have the option of two optional activities today in Tsitsikamma.
We’ll then makeour way to the Hluhluwe region today. En route enjoy a quick stop in Jeffrey's Bay, a surfing destination known for its right-hand point break.
We’ll continue to Addo Elephant National Park, home to one of the densest African Elephant populations on earth, more than 600 of them. The park extends right down to the ocean.
Your stay in the reserve brings rustic and secluded luxury in a malaria-free African wilderness. You’ll have the chance to spot the famed Big Five game animals – lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo.
Start with a guided walk through the forest canopy then launch from a platform where a new world unfolds as you glide gently through the treetops.

We’ll explore the sunny, seaside city of Durban – get to know KwaZulu-Natal's largest city as we take you to its most beautiful and significant spots. Walk along the gorgeous Golden Mile promenade, stop at the bustling markets of Warwick Triangle, and discover an amazing variety of plant life in the historic Durban Botanic Gardens.
You'll depart for legendary Sani Pass today, enjoying lunch enroute. Time for adventure – it’s about three and a half hours of continual twists and turns, and a portion of it is dirt track. Scenery will be spectacular and there’ll be the chance to spot wildlife, with stops along the way. The Sani Pass climbs 1,332 vertical metres to an impressive altitude of 2,876 metres.
Once you check in at the hotel, the rest of the day is free time for you to relax or explore. Your hotel is located in the Mkhomazana Valley at the foot of the Sani Pass.

Experience the magnificence of this picturesque location on horseback, with trails into the rolling grasslands and breathtaking viewpoints.
Take part in some Archery, an art, sport, practice, and skill of using a bow to shoot arrows.
For a full day out, we’ll drive you through the awe-inspiring Sani Pass, the highest point in South Africa. Make your way to Basotho Cultural Village in Lesotho, where you’ll have a chance to meet the inhabitants. Finish off your tour with a meal at the highest restaurant in Africa.
It's an early start this morning to return to the Hluhluwe region, a drive of about five and a half hours. We'll stop on the way for lunch.
A natural playground, it's well known for its different African bush experiences – everything from elephant interactions to horse riding and boat cruises.
Another thrilling day of game drives or free time to explore this beautiful area. Known for its national parks and natural diversity, some of the very best game reserves can be found here. Among the beautiful landscapes and interesting fauna, you’ll see some of Africa’s wildest predators in their natural habitat on your game drives.
Today we head by bus to the Kingdom of eSwatini, formerly known as Swaziland. The drive takes about three hours but we’ll break it up with a visit to the Swazi Candle Factory and Baobab Batik, a fair-trade enterprise where local women use the batik art form to produce hand-crafted home décor and accessories.
You’ll have the afternoon and evening to yourself. Your hotel offers easy access to the natural surrounds and gorgeous views of the Royal Mdzimba Mountains. There is plenty to do, such as hiking and biking trails, game drives, fishing, boating, white water rafting and caving
We’ll head to Kruger National Park today, about a three-hour journey, visiting Ngwenda Glass Factory on the way.
Your stay will give you a front row seat to where predator and prey meet in the enormous Kruger National Park, the home of the illustrious Big Five game animals.
Enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive today within the renowned Kruger National Park. The park boasts nearly two million hectares of unfenced African wilderness and delivers an exceptional safari experience.
We’ll spend the day touring the Panorama Route, a picturesque stretch of land featuring natural wonders. We’ll see Pinnacle Rock, towering 30 metres above the forest. We’ll visit God’s Window (weather permitting), one of South Africa’s most famous vantage points – on clear days you can see as far as Mozambique.
There is also the Blyde River Canyon and the Three Rondawels, massive spirals of dolomite that rise from the far wall of the canyon. Other highlights include the spectacular Lisbon Falls and unusual rock formations of Bourke’s Luck Potholes.
We’ll stop for a light lunch and there’s also a chance to explore the colourful craft markets en-route.
It’s an early start to head home today – you’ll be taken to Kruger Airport for your onward flight.

Fitness Requirements
While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity.
These guidelines are to ensure that each tour group is conducted as expected and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all Inspiring Vacations customers. As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available.

Tipping
To remove the uncertainty and stress of not knowing how much is appropriate to tip we recommend AUD$7-12 per person per day for your guide and AUD$5-7 per person per day for your driver to be paid in local currency. The amount you wish to contribute is dependent on the services received and at the complete discretion of the guest. Thank you for your understanding.

Single Supplement
Single supplement is $2,599 per person in addition to the twin share price.
Paired Solo Travellers
This package allows you to avoid paying a single supplement by booking as a Paired Solo Traveller.
This option must be selected at time of booking during the purchase path under "Select Your Room" and then choose "Paired Twin Room".
Regardless of whether an accompanying solo traveller is found, you are guaranteed to travel at no additional cost.
Solo travellers are matched only on the basis of gender and not on other factors such as age, nationality, religion or sexuality. We kindly ask that you disclose any requirements, medical or otherwise, that might disturb your matched traveller’s sleep (e.g. sleep apnoea or a CPAP machine). Unfortunately, with this in mind and in the interest of other travellers, we request that you proceed with your own private room with the resulting single supplement. Should a second solo traveller not be available, you are nonetheless guaranteed to travel at no extra cost and you will be placed into a single, twin share or double room by yourself. Your tour group may include multiple solo travellers who may or may not be paired. No changes will be permitted to any pairing arrangements.
Note that for some portions of some itineraries, the group sizes will vary. Some packages may operate on groups as small as 2 people and therefore, there may be time spent travelling only with your paired traveller. Should a package require a minimum number of 2 travellers and you are not paired, your booking may be cancelled.
You will be introduced to your matched solo traveller at the beginning of your itinerary and your personal details will not be shared as per our Privacy Policy. Should there be any dissatisfaction with your matched traveller, unfortunately we are unable to make any changes to your room arrangements or offer any refund. Inspiring Vacations takes no responsibility for and will not be held liable for any dissatisfaction with the matched traveller or for their actions.

Visa & Passport information
It is the customer’s responsibility to become familiar with the visa requirements for their intended destination and to ensure they have the appropriate visa documentation, whether obtained before departure or on arrival.
It is also the traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from your intended date of return to Australia.
Inspiring Vacations is not responsible for delays or missed portions of the holiday package resulting from incorrect travel documents or visas, or for denial of entry for not having the appropriate visa or valid passport.

Refundable deposit within 28 days of purchase:
For cancellations made within 28 days of paying the deposit on any tour, your deposit can be refunded in full or can be transferred to a new booking should you decide to change to another package or destination. Please note this change of mind guarantee does not apply for bookings made within 90 days of departure, after which time our standard 48 hour cooling off period applies. After this time, your booking becomes non-refundable.
All cancellation or change requests must be advised in writing to our Customer Service Team at support@inspiringvacations.
Refund times will vary and the timeframe of which will be advised at the time of cancellation. Any refund of deposit will be issued back to the original form of payment.
Any bookings made prior to 13 March 2020 must abide by the original payment term conditions.
Transferrable second installment up until 90 days before scheduled departure:
Following the second installment payment and up until 90 days before your departure only, should you wish to postpone your travel or transfer to another package, we can provide you with a credit note of the current balance paid on your booking, to be used to rebook within 18 months of the credit being issued.
