This tour features a combination of escorted and independent travel. Part of your journey will be enjoyed as a group experience, led by expert tour leaders or local guides. The remainder is self-guided—whether by rail, cruise, or overland—allowing you the freedom to travel between destinations independently and explore at your own pace.

Welcome to Perth! Make your way to your accommodation. You can arrive at any time as there are no activities arranged for the day.
Your car will be ready for collection at Hertz Perth Downtown depot (opening hours Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm & Saturday from 8am to 1pm)

A taxi or Uber from Perth airport to your accommodation costs approximately $55 to $60 per car. Hotel check in is at 2pm. Should you arrive earlier than this, hotel staff will do all possible to check you in as soon as possible. If your room is not available before check-in time, you are welcome to leave your luggage in storage and explore the surrounding area.
Enjoy breakfast before being picked up from your hotel and transferred to Margaret River. Arrive in Margaret River late morning and enjoy your first walk on the Cape to Cape Track - from Smiths Beach to Injidup beach - with lunch and a swim in a secluded bay along the way. On arrival at Injidup Spa Retreat, enjoy a welcome drink on the clifftop (weather permitting) before settling in to enjoy some wine and cheese and your first sunset by your villa plunge pool. Enjoy a casual dinner with local wines in your villa tonight.
After a gourmet breakfast hamper in your villa, you will make your way to Cape Naturaliste for your 14km walk along the limestone coastline to Yallingup, passing famous surf-breaks on this mostly clifftop walk. Sugarloaf Rock is a highlight today; jutting from the ocean this granite rock formation is visible in the distance on much of the Cape to Cape Walk. This afternoon you have time for a massage at the wonderful Bodhi-J Spa, before a wonderful private chef dinner and hosted wine tastings in the lounge. The chef will showcase local produce to the group over a three-course dinner, while you sample wines from a leading Margaret River winery.
Today’s walk is arguably the most stunning, taking in 14 kilometres of the Cape to Cape from Redgate Beach to Boranup karri forest. You will be dwarfed by the karri trees and marvel at the jaw-dropping views from the cliff-top above pristine Contos beach, and enjoy lunch in the forest today. Later, you will be transferred to a Margaret River vineyard for a private tasting with the owner, before dinner at an acclaimed local restaurant.
This morning your walk is a gentle 3 hours from Moses Rock to Wilyabrup sea cliffs. Witness the powerful Indian Ocean waves crashing into the granite cliffs, and the turquoise hues standing out against the orange rocks. Standing on top of the cliffs you’ll have 180 degree views of the coastline and a wonderful sense of achievement at the distance you’ve covered. After, it’s time for a celebratory lunch at founding Margaret River winery, Vasse Felix. Enjoy four courses with premium wine matches overlooking the vines and enjoy browsing the onsite gallery and cellar door before your transfer to Perth.
Make your way to Barrack Street Jetty and board the Rottnest Express ferry to Rottnest Island, located 22km offshore.
Once in Rottnest Island, make your way to Discovery Park. Discovery Rottnest Island is an easy and scenic 1km walk from the ferry pier through the main Rottnest Island township. As the island is predominantly vehicle-free, transfers are provided on request and most travellers prefer to make their way to their accommodation on foot. If you bring luggage your ferry provider will send it to Discovery by the Island’s delivery service. This can take up to 2 hours once you’ve arrived so we recommend packing a day bag with bathers and anything else you might want to use straight away.
Your deluxe eco-tents are the largest and most beautifully appointed and located. It includes a king bed, ensuite bathroom, kitchenette and most tents enjoy premium ocean views.
Perhaps traverse the Island’s unique landscapes along the Wadjemup Bidi; a series of walk trails that will take you across spectacular coastal headlands, past stunning inland lakes and encounter both natural and man-made attractions along the way.
At the appointed time, make your way back to the wharf to catch your ferry back to Perth.
Today relax and enjoy the iconic city skyline and beautiful picturesque landscape as you escape the city and cruise leisurely into the upper regions of the Swan Valley.
You'll be treated to a delicious, filling two course lunch from the coveted Sandalford Estate following an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the winery and a one of a kind wine tasting! All of this is capped off with live entertainment and tantalizing desserts on board your return cruise.

Check out is at 11am. If you are departing later than this, you are welcome to leave your belongings at the front desk while you continue to explore Perth. The best way to get from your hotel to Perth Airport is by taxi or Uber - a ride will cost you between $30 and $35.

This package is made up of multiple components which will be provided by different operators throughout your trip. As such, group size will differ between operators and can be as intimate as 2 people or as lively as up to 60 people, depending on the activity and advertised inclusions. There may be unique cases where your selected travel date exceeds the expected group size for special events or types of activities, particularly during popular times of travel. For packages that include a train or cruise, you will be travelling with other passengers up to the capacity of this component.
