On arrival at Changi, make your own way to your hotel.
Take a moment to observe your surroundings: Singapore’s streets are famously clean, and tropical greenery lines many of the roads—a reflection of the city’s vision as a “Garden in a City.” You may also notice signs in four official languages—English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil—showcasing Singapore’s rich cultural diversity.
Special Information
Airport transfers are not included. Our transfer portal may offer the option to book your airport transfers for an easier arrival experience (additional charges apply). Access to this portal will be available through your Traveller Hub once your booking is confirmed.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel, then explore Singapore’s iconic landmarks, including the striking Marina Bay Sands, the futuristic Gardens by the Bay, and historic Merlion Park, home to the city’s mythical half-lion, half-fish mascot.
Enjoy your last day in Singapore by wandering through the city’s vibrant cultural precincts, from the colorful streets of Little India to the bustling laneways of Chinatown. Experience the city’s rich diversity, with fragrant spices, bold street art, ornate temples, and charming historic shophouses around every corner. Make your own to the ship and embark on your cruise departing at 6:00 pm.
Just 37 km northeast of Port Kelang, Kuala Lumpur rises from its humble beginnings as a 19th-century mining town to Malaysia’s dynamic capital. Pioneers like Yap Ah Loy, who rose from miner to political leader, and British official Frank Swettenham played key roles in shaping the city, building schools, roads, and the foundations of modern Kuala Lumpur.
Today, Kuala Lumpur blends history and modernity. Admire colonial-era gems such as the Art Deco Central Market, the Mughal-style Old Railway Station, and the Tudor Revival Royal Selangor Club, which contrast beautifully with contemporary landmarks like the iconic Petronas Towers and the National Museum, inspired by Malay imperial palaces.
Food is a way of life here, and KL’s restaurants are not to be missed—savor Southeast Asian flavors, Chinese classics, or the unique Peranakan cuisine, a rich fusion of Malay and Chinese traditions.
Malaysia is a true tapestry of cultures, shaped by centuries of migration and colonial influence. Its population blends Chinese, Indian, and ethnic Malay communities, with traditions further enriched by Portuguese, Dutch, and British rule. Nowhere is this diversity more vividly expressed than in Penang, the British Empire’s first settlement in Southeast Asia and the starting point of more than 150 years of colonial history, which ended in 1948.
Penang is divided by the Strait of Malacca into Penang Island and Seberang Perai on the mainland. On the island, George Town—the UNESCO World Heritage–listed capital—invites exploration with its ornate historic homes, charming streetscapes, and celebrated food scene. Pause for a bowl of spicy laksa or a refreshing kopi peng as you soak up the city’s distinctive atmosphere.
Beyond George Town, Penang offers natural highlights such as Monkey Beach, with its white sands and clear waters, and the lush Tropical Spice Garden, a favourite for lovers of South Asian flavours. Wherever you wander, exceptional food is never far away, from humble hawker stalls to refined interpretations of classic Malaysian dishes.
Thailand’s largest island lies just off the mainland’s west coast, set in the shimmering waters of the Andaman Sea. Although Thailand was never colonised, international trade brought European influence to Phuket in the 17th century, when its rich tin deposits attracted Dutch, French, English, and Portuguese traders. Their legacy lives on in Old Phuket Town, where elegant Sino-Portuguese mansions have been transformed into stylish hotels, cafés, restaurants, and boutiques.
One of the island’s most iconic landmarks, the Big Buddha, sits high above the coastline, rewarding visitors with sweeping panoramic views. The nearby Chalong Highlands offer further scenic lookouts, along with opportunities for gentle elephant encounters.
Phuket seamlessly blends culture with natural beauty. The island is famed for its tropical beaches, powdery white sands, and warm, crystal-clear waters ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and diving. Among the most picturesque settings is Phang Nga Bay, home to dramatic limestone karsts and Khao Phing Kan—better known as James Bond Island after its appearance in The Man with the Golden Gun.

Tranquil and refreshingly off the beaten track, Sri Lanka’s southeastern coast offers a glimpse into a quieter way of life. Sleepy villages and rural farmlands give way to seemingly endless stretches of golden sand, fringed with coconut palms and lapped by the cerulean waters of the Indian Ocean. Near Hambantota, colourful fishing boats gather in the small harbour, their daily catch on display at the lively local fish market, while a modern port signals the region’s evolving future.
Once inaccessible during the country’s civil war and later deeply affected by the 2004 tsunami, this region has since shown remarkable resilience. Today, it welcomes visitors drawn to its natural beauty, warm hospitality, and an authentic Sri Lankan lifestyle that remains largely untouched by mass tourism.
Shaped by a complex past, Sri Lanka and its commercial capital, Colombo, are emerging as compelling destinations for modern travellers. Colombo has served as a vital trading port for more than 2,000 years, rising to prominence in the 16th century with the arrival of Portuguese fleets. Periods of Dutch and British rule followed, before Sri Lanka gained independence in 1948. After decades of unrest, the end of the civil war in 2009 marked a new chapter for the country.
While many visitors are drawn to Sri Lanka’s pristine beaches and misty tea-growing highlands, Colombo rewards those who linger. The city is evolving at a rapid pace, with sleek skyscrapers rising beside graceful colonial-era buildings. Bustling markets and contemporary shopping precincts sit alongside ancient temples, creating a vibrant city layered with history, culture, and renewed energy.

Densely populated and full of energy, Malé is the vibrant island capital of the Maldives. Discover the nation’s unique history at the National Museum and visit the Old Friday Mosque, an impressive coral-stone landmark dating back to 1656.

Cruises to Mauritius bring travelers to an isolated gem in the Indian Ocean, just off Africa’s southeastern shores. The island feels like a dream, where giant tortoises roam, waterfalls spill into glassy pools, and quiet lagoons are perfect for kayaking. But Mauritius offers more than postcard scenery. It is famously known as the only place the dodo ever lived, a once-abundant bird that disappeared after human arrival. Ships dock in Port Louis, the vibrant capital rich with history and character. Wander lively markets filled with spices and taste boulette, the local steamed dumpling specialty. From there, taxis can take you across the island’s dramatic terrain, or you can opt for a helicopter ride to witness the striking illusion of an underwater waterfall.
Set amid the deep blue of the Indian Ocean, Réunion Island is a lush tropical haven defined by active volcanoes and countless waterfalls. Cruises call at La Possession on the island’s northwest coast, where the town cascades toward the sea from steep, emerald-green peaks. As a French overseas department, Réunion is French-speaking and carries an undeniable charm that captivates visitors. Unwind on soft sandy beaches or venture into dense jungles—adventure is everywhere. Trek through verdant forests to feel the mist of waterfalls and discover storybook villages nestled inside ancient volcanic calderas. The air is scented with cinnamon, clove, and vanilla from local spice and perfume oil estates. History comes alive at the remains of the old lazaret near La Possession. Whether your visit lasts hours or days, Réunion Island leaves a lasting impression.

Set along the sweeping curve of Algoa Bay, Port Elizabeth—now called Gqeberha—offers a scenic welcome on South Africa’s coast. Known as the “Friendly City,” it’s a frequent stop for cruises and a launch point for Eastern Cape exploration. Pack a swimsuit: the shoreline stretches for miles, and playful dolphins often leap through the surf. The city is loved for its mild climate, marked by sunshine and refreshing ocean breezes. Wander across sandy dunes or watch locals race horses along the beach. For an unforgettable adventure, head to nearby game reserves where lions, elephants, and Cape buffalo roam freely. History lovers can explore Fort Frederick, built in 1799 during the Napoleonic era. To gain deeper insight into Apartheid, visit the South End Museum, which preserves the area’s displaced legacy. Walk Route 67, an outdoor gallery of 67 artworks celebrating Nelson Mandela’s life. However you spend your time, a South Africa cruise delivers something remarkable.

Perched on the edge of Table Bay, beneath the towering 1,082-meter (3,550-foot) Table Mountain and Lion’s Head, Cape Town never fails to impress visitors and locals alike. Often compared to San Francisco, this city of four million was founded in 1652 by Dutch East India Company traders and offers a vibrant mix of culture, cuisine, galleries, beaches, and vineyards. The Cape Peninsula stretches some 70 kilometers (43 miles) from downtown to Cape Point, where life revolves around the outdoors, healthy living, and soaking in the Mediterranean-style climate. Table Bay boasts luxurious seaside homes and a lively nightlife, while False Bay, tucked behind Table Mountain, features charming cobblestone fishing villages like Kalk Bay and a famous penguin colony. Here, too, are some of Africa’s oldest and finest vineyards, including Constantia Uitsig and Buitenverwachting.
Continue your Cape Town adventure by taking the cable car up to the iconic Table Mountain for sweeping city and ocean views. For thrill-seekers, cage diving with sharks offers an unforgettable rush. Or enjoy a more relaxed pace by horseback riding along Noordhoek’s 8-kilometer stretch of golden beach, where the waves and open horizon create a perfect backdrop.
Disembark from the cruise and make your way to your hotel to check in and get settled.
Discover the vibrant V&A Waterfront, where a variety of shops and dining options await you. Alternatively, take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting Bo Kaap neighbourhood, known for its vibrant colours and rich cultural heritage. Delve into history by visiting the historic Company Gardens or exploring the captivating museums that tell the compelling story of Cape Town's history and its connection to the slave trade.
Enjoy a full day at leisure to relax, shop or explore this dynamic city on your own.
At the appropriate time make your way to the airport for your flight.

Visas & Entry Requirements
Many countries require a visa and obtaining the correct visa for your tour and any countries you may transit through is your responsibility. We recommend you check your visa requirements as soon as you have booked your tour. This will ensure you have time to prepare your documents and for your visa application to be processed. You can check the visa entry requirements for your nationality via our page here:
https://inspiringvacations-8357211.hs-sites.com/visa-information
You’ll need a valid passport to travel internationally and most countries require your passport to have a minimum of 6 months validity, so remember to check the expiry date.
We need your passport information to get everything ready for your tour so the information on your booking must match your passport exactly. Please take care to provide the correct details. We recommend carrying a copy of the photo page of your passport while travelling and leaving a copy at home with family or friends.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended on all our tours. We require that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses including emergency repatriation. It is also important to consider forced pre-tour cancellations and how your chosen insurance policy may cover such circumstances, so please keep this in mind when choosing your provider.
We strongly recommend all travellers have a policy that also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage or personal effects. For international tours, you will be asked by your tour leader for your travel insurance details if they were not already added to your Traveller Hub account pre-departure.
If you have credit card insurance your Inspiring Vacations tour leader or local guide may require details of the participating insurer/underwriter, the level of coverage, policy number, and emergency contact number rather than the bank's name and your credit card details. Please contact your bank for these details before arriving in-country.
Before you depart, you will be asked to submit your Travel Insurance details through the booking holder's Traveller Hub account through the Inspiring Vacations website. This is to ensure that we have this information readily available should we ever need it.
