As a general requirement across all of our trips, you may be required to walk up and down stairs, get on and off transportation, handle your own luggage, and participate in all scheduled sightseeing that may be conducted on uneven ground and terrain. Any physical ailments you may have must be disclosed at the time of booking to determine your suitability and where required, supporting documentation may be requested to ensure that we are comfortable that you will enjoy your trip.
This tour is fully escorted by a dedicated tour leader who will accompany you throughout the tour. If your tour includes multiple countries, you will be met by a new tour leader in each country and any internal flights included will be unescorted.

Arrive at the airport/train station and be transferred to Longreach, often regarded as the heart of Outback Queensland, home of legends, larrikins and our pioneering giants. Get acquainted on an introductory town tour before checking into your accommodation. Dinner tonight will be at the Bird Cage Hotel, a local hotspot!
Meet the Smith family at historic Rosebank Station for an exclusive tour and a relaxed homestead morning tea. Afterwards, head to the original home of our national carrier at the Qantas Founders Museum and join a guided tour of the newly opened Airpark. Late afternoon join your tour group for a short drive to Ilfracombe. Founded in 1891, it was a transport hub for Wellshot Station, which at the time held the largest number of sheep on any station in the world. We’ll cap off the day with an authentic pub dinner at the historic Wellshot Hotel. Then it’s time for Longreach’s latest sensation, the Luminescent Longreach Sound & Light Show, which brings the 100-year story of Qantas to life.
Witness the landscape change as we head to Winton, Dinosaur capital of Australia. On that theme, we visit the Australian Age of Dinosaurs perched high on a magnificent mesa overlooking the plains where dinosaurs once roamed! Onsite dinosaur enthusiasts treat us to a top-class interpretive tour of the laboratory, collection room and Dinosaur Canyon. In Winton see the quirky Arno’s Wall, the Musical Fence and learn the story behind Australia’s unofficial national anthem at the Waltzing Matilda Centre. Return to Longreach late afternoon. Dinner tonight will be at your accommodation
This morning, experience the warm hospitality of local graziers with a visit to nearby Camden Park Station, where you’ll experience a fully operating sheep and cattle station. Relive the inspiring stories of our pioneering heroes at the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame. Spend lunchtime at your own pace in downtown Longreach. Late afternoon board the Longreach Explorer for the award-winning Drover’s Sunset Cruise on the mighty Thomson River. Unwind with onboard nibbles and drinks, watching a magnificent outback sunset. End the day with a two-course table-service dinner under the stars at the entertaining Smithy’s Outback Dinner & Show. (Drinks not included)

Cooling off period
If you change your mind within 7 days of making your booking online, you can request a refund of your initial deposit payment as part of our cooling off period. Once your purchase date falls outside of the 7 day period, our standard terms and conditions will apply.

Fitness Requirements
While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity. These guidelines are to ensure that each tour group is conducted as expected and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all Inspiring Vacations customers.
As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available.

1 - Leisurely Tour: This itinerary will be conducted at a relaxed pace. You will typically spend several nights at one location which means less time spent packing and unpacking, and more sightseeing. You will be required to move about unassisted, including getting on and off vehicles, walking up and down stairs and handling your own luggage.

The accommodation listed is subject to change. Any changes will be of an equal or higher standard. Bedding configurations (double or twin) are requests only. All efforts will be made to meet your preferences, however any changes are beyond our control.
