Meet Jacinda, Flights Coordinator

Since joining Inspiring Vacations as a Travel Specialist in August 2018, Jacinda has taken on many important responsibilities and is now our Flights Coordinator. Here are Jacinda’s thoughts about working at Inspiring Vacations and how she has found a better way.

How long have you worked at Inspiring Vacations? How has your career grown in that time?

I’ve been here for nearly five years! I started as a Travel Specialist, then became Operations Team Leader when the team consisted of operations fulfilment and flight fulfilment. Most recently, I’ve moved into a 100%-focused flights role. I coordinate our flight teams (here in Melbourne and overseas) to fulfil all flight bookings for our packages and also manage the customer-facing online flights system. 

 

What’s the most satisfying part of your role?

I’m part of a business with purpose, where everyone contributes, takes risks to do things differently and looks after its people and customers. My job is fast-paced, keeps me thinking on my feet and I love that we are always customer-focused.

 

What does flexible work look like for you at Inspiring Vacations?

I love the flexibility to work from anywhere and genuinely appreciate that we are trusted with that choice. Flexibility is a must for me as a parent of a young child. I can do split shifts if needed (log on in the evening) and flexible start times are great! 

 

What are you most looking forward to with Inspiring Vacations?

Things are always changing for the better and I'm excited to see where the company goes. We’re always growing.

 

How would you describe the people you work with? 

I love working with like-minded, motivated people who are just as passionate about travel as I am. We’re not too serious, and like to take the time for a chat and laugh. We’re recognised and rewarded.

 

In your experience, how does Inspiring Vacations do things differently?

Everyone constantly looks for ways to do things better, whether it’s a process, product or role. The leadership team are supportive, motivating and willing to provide opportunities to grow if you put your hand up for them!
