Meet Renee, one of our Customer Service Team Leaders
Renee started with Inspiring Vacations as a Travel Specialist in 2018 and has now taken on the important responsibility of Customer Service Team Leader – all while working in a part-time flexible capacity. Here are Renee’s thoughts about joining Inspiring Vacations and how she has found a better way.
Why did you join our team?
I joined Inspiring Vacations as they were committed to putting their customers first. I also appreciated their initiative with World Vision Australia (the rating donation promise) and their spirit of continuous innovation – I just knew I wanted to be a part of a company operating this way.
What do you love most about your job?
I am proud that we lead the way in providing a first-class customer experience in the industry and deliver amazing and affordable travel experiences every day. It’s enjoyable to be part of a team that all share that passion, regardless of their role, as we all participate in customer service. It’s great to see our senior leaders promote opportunities to grow within the business, in any direction people choose, through on-the-job development and team-based projects. They encourage everyone to impact change.
What are your favourite perks?
As a mother of two young children, I love that I am not disadvantaged in any way from advancing my career and responsibilities by working part-time. I am able to work split shifts so that I can be there to drop off and pick up my boys, have dinner and spend time with my family – while also assisting our customers at times that suit them! I also love that we have opportunities to experience our amazing tours first-hand. I recently returned from an incredible tour of Sri Lanka in which I was able to take my sister!
How would you describe the culture?
We each contribute to creating and maintaining our culture, it is not set in stone for us. Everyone is involved in our customer service team and our strong teamwork is an essential part of our harmonious and collaborative environment.
What would you say to people considering joining our team?
Don’t be put off by our rapid growth and success – we are a friendly bunch who are passionate about customer service and have a genuine enthusiasm for what we do! I encourage people to learn more and join if this resonates with them.
