Interested how internships progress at Inspiring Vacations?


Meet Maddi, Marketing Assistant in our Digital Team

Since joining Inspiring Vacations as an intern in early 2019, Maddi has worked across different teams, and was recently promoted to Marketing Assistant in our Digital team. Here are Maddi’s thoughts about joining Inspiring Vacations and how she has found a better way.


Why did you join Inspiring Vacations?

I joined as I wanted to be around driven and ambitious people, and knew in order for a start-up organisation to grow and succeed, these were the type of people who would be employed. Plus, I love to travel! By joining as an intern, I knew there would be opportunities for me to learn, grow and develop professionally.


What do you love about your job?

The encouragement and support I receive in my learning and development. I began working in the Operations and Product teams before progressing to the Digital team where I am now working as a marketing assistant. I am learning an abundance of valuable skills which directly correlate to my university studies. Everyone at Inspiring Vacations participates in customer service, and I enjoy communicating with our customers which helps me to focus on putting them first.


What are your favourite company perks?

Our familiarisation trips and bonus travel leave demonstrate that Inspiring Vacations want all of their employees to enjoy travel and to learn from their travel experiences. I also appreciate having the flexibility to work from home or split my hours to help me to balance study commitments. The birthday morning teas are a great way to stay connected to the wider team, too.


How would you describe the company culture?

The Inspiring Vacations team is an inclusive and supportive group of people. There is a huge amount of collaboration across departments, and I receive ongoing encouragement from both my peers and management to continually develop and take on new responsibilities.


What would you say to people considering joining our team?

If you have the right attitude – you are enthusiastic, persistent, eager to learn and see the value of putting customers first – do it!
