On arrival in Johannesburg, make your way to the shuttle collection point, approximately 40 metres from the exit of the airport.
The rest of the day is free for you to relax and see South Africa’s largest city.
Check in: Passengers will be arriving at various times throughout the day from as early as 6am through to late evening. If arriving prior to standard check-in time, which is generally 3pm local time, you are welcome to leave your luggage with hotel reception and explore your surroundings until check-in becomes available, as there are generally no scheduled activities on Day 1 of the itinerary. The hotel may grant early check-in, however this is strictly subject to availability and at the hotel’s discretion.
Board the airport shuttle to O.R Tambo International Airport for your flight to Maun. On arrival, you’ll be met and taken to the twin-engine aircraft that will fly you to the Okavango Delta – the easiest way to access this remote haven.
On arrival at the airstrip, your camp guide will meet you to transport you, in an open safari vehicle, to the camp.
The Okavango Delta, an immense river that never meets the sea, sprawls across the Kalahari Desert, forming Africa’s largest wetland. It’s an abundant oasis, among the vast plains and pans of the desert. Covering most of Southern Africa, its waterways are a mesh of meandering and intercepting channels. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest inland delta in the world, is a haven for Africa’s most celebrated wildlife.

It’s an early start for your morning game drive. On return to the camp, enjoy a hearty brunch and spend the day relaxing.
Moremi Game Reserve covers more than 3900 square kilometres of pristine wilderness. The diverse terrain – including savannah, winding waterways and thick forest – supports an incredible array of wildlife. There are large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, rare Sitatunga and Lechwe antelope, lion, cheetah and prolific birdlife.
In the late afternoon, partake in high tea before departing on your evening activity. Activities vary, but might include embarking on a guided game drive or taking to the water on a traditional mokoro boat. Enjoy a sundowner in the middle of the Okavango before returning to the camp for dinner under the stars.
This morning you’ll set off on an early game drive and return for brunch before your transfer to the airstrip. You’ll fly to Kasane and be met on arrival to be transferred to Chobe National Park.
Chobe covers a whopping 10,566 square kilometres, and boasts one of the greatest concentrations of elephant found on the African continent. There are about 120,000 of these majestic creatures living around here. You’ll have the opportunity to view the abundant elephants and big game animals in their natural habitat, including the famed Big Five – lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo.
The Chobe River forms the northern boundary of the Chobe National Park, renowned for its reliable and diverse game viewing. Safaris are conducted both by boat and on land. This section of the park is best known for its elephant and hippo populations, and the waters attract all manner of game including large herds of buffalo and the lions that prey on them.
Settle in at the lodge and have lunch (at own expense) before departing on your afternoon or evening game drive.

One of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, it’s nothing short of awe-inspiring to witness the thundering power of the waters. At over one kilometre wide and over 100 metres high, this is the largest curtain of water in the world. The locals call it Mosi-ao-Tunya, “the smoke that thunders”.
Your walking tour ends with a visit to a local arts and crafts centre.

After an early breakfast you’ll be transferred to Livingstone Airport for your departure flight to renowned Kruger National Park, the largest game reserve in South Africa.
On arrival at Nelspruit Airport, you will be met for your transfer to the lodge. Spend the rest of the afternoon at your leisure and later in the evening enjoy a sumptuous three-course dinner.
Kruger is one of Africa’s largest game reserves. Hundreds of mammals make their home here, as do diverse bird species such as vultures, eagles and storks. Kruger is one of the best places in Africa to spot the famed Big Five in one fell swoop. The park boasts nearly two million hectares of unfenced African wilderness and delivers an exceptional safari experience.
The early start is worth it this morning, for a chance to spot the illustrious Big Five game animals on your game drive. We’ll see the animals at the start of their day – when they are hungry and most active.
You’ll get up close to these thrilling animals in a specialised safari vehicle, led by an expert guide. The game drive takes approximately six to eight hours.

Afterwards, take a trip on the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, high above the clouds, for exquisite views of Cape Town. Robben Island is famous, or rather infamous, as the holding place for the imprisoned Nelson Mandela. Mandela served 18 of his 27 years in prison incarcerated on the island’s prison, but Robben Island has also housed a hospital, mental institution, leper colony and military base during its rich history. Now, Robben Island is a World Heritage Site and museum to explore.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a full day tour of the magnificent Cape Peninsula. This is a photographer’s dream.
We’ll begin with a scenic drive along the Atlantic Coast, passing through Camps Bay and the quaint fishing village of Hout Bay. The tour includes a trip to Cape Point at the southwestern tip of the Cape Peninsula, with the most spectacular views. The Cape Point Nature Reserve comprises thousands of acres of indigenous flora and fauna. Here you can see wildlife like baboons, rhebok, Cape mountain zebra and the elusive eland.
On the way back to your hotel we’ll also visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach (entrance not included). Home to an endangered land-based colony of African penguins, you can see these unique animals in their natural habitat. Walk between the three pristine and sheltered beaches on boardwalks – to protect the penguin nests – which link to the penguin-viewing area.
The last stop is at Kirstenbosch National Botanic Gardens, on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain, for a short walking tour of these beautiful gardens.
Enjoy one last delicious breakfast this morning, before your adventure comes to an end. Later you will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your flight home.

Flights to Moremi Crossing in the Okavango are conducted by light aircraft (14-16 seaters). Due to cargo and weight restrictions, luggage is strictly weighed and measured. Flights are operated by Mack Air. You may carry 20 kgs (TOTAL including carry-on) (44lbs) per person in a soft duffel-type bag (no hard cases, rigid frame bags). This includes hand luggage and camera equipment. These limitations are strictly adhered to.
Premium Economy or Business Class upgrades
Please specify this as a 'Special Request' when completing your booking and you will be quoted for the additional fare. In the event your selection is unavailable, or that you are dissatisfied with the quote, you will be provided with a full refund.
Land Only discount
A reduction of $2000 per person applies if you wish to arrange your own airfares and transfers. To purchase a land-only fare, please select this option in the booking process under 'Departure City'.

Airport chauffeur
Take the hassle out of getting to the airport with private chauffeur transfers to and from your home airport. Your personal chauffeur will meet and greet you, attend to your luggage and drive you to your destination in a luxury vehicle.

Airport lounges
Escape busy airport terminals and relax at a cosy and catered lounge instead. Departure lounge access in Sydney $70 per person (up to 6 hours); Melbourne & Brisbane $55 per person (up to 3 hours).

Fitness Requirements
While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity. These guidelines are to ensure that each tour group is conducted as expected and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all Inspiring Vacations customers.
As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available.
This particular tour is categorised as a “3”:
3 – Moderate Tour: A good level of fitness and mobility is required, as this tour includes a moderate level of physical activity and is considered a medium-fast paced tour. You should be able to walk up and down stairs, get on and off the coach and able to walk reasonable distances of approximately 2 kilometres per day or more with ease. Any physical ailments you may have must be disclosed at the time of booking to determine your suitability. If you have any form of walking aids, other than a walking stick or hiking poles, then this tour is not suitable.
Tipping
To remove the uncertainty and stress of not knowing how much is appropriate to tip we recommend AUD$5-7 per person per day for your guide and AUD$10 per person per day for your driver to be paid in local currency or USD. The amount you wish to contribute is dependent on the services received and at the complete discretion of the guest. Thank you for your understanding.

Refundable deposit within 28 days of purchase:
For cancellations made within 28 days of paying the deposit on any tour, your deposit can be refunded in full or can be transferred to a new booking should you decide to change to another package or destination. Please note this change of mind guarantee does not apply for bookings made within 120 days of departure, after which time our standard 48 hour cooling off period applies. After this time, your booking becomes non-refundable.
All cancellation or change requests must be advised in writing to our Customer Service Team at support@inspiringvacations.
Refund times will vary and the timeframe of which will be advised at the time of cancellation. Any refund of deposit will be issued back to the original form of payment.
Any bookings made prior to 13 March 2020 must abide by the original payment term conditions.
Transferrable second installment up until 120 days before scheduled departure:
Following the second installment payment and up until 120 days before your departure only, should you wish to postpone your travel or transfer to another package, we can provide you with a credit note of the current balance paid on your booking, to be used to rebook within 18 months of the credit being issued.
