After your first night enjoying the fine dining and relaxed luxury of this iconic train, you'll wake to an amazing outback sunrise at Marla - a remote outpost 160 kilometres from the Northern Territory border that marks the start of the Oodnadatta Track. Enjoy more incredible outback scenery before arriving into Alice Springs early in the afternoon to enjoy an Off Train Excursion that reveals more of this historic outback town.
As you head further north into the tropics, prepare to experience one of the Top End's most impressive natural wonders near Katherine. The stunning Nitmiluk Gorge lies within the massive 292,000 hectares of Nitmiluk National Park. You'll have the chance to explore it from the water with a guided cruise - an Off Train Excursion you'll never forget. A few hours later, you'll arrive in Darwin for a transfer to your accommodation.

Single Supplement
The single supplement cost is depending on the date of travel and cabin type selected. This price is subject to change and as such, cannot be confirmed until after a booking has been made. If you are not happy with the price of the single supplement provided, you can request to cancel and receive a refund of your deposit. If the single supplement cost is suitable, this will be added to your invoice and part of the final balance payable. For an indicative cost prior to purchase, you are welcome to contact our Customer Service team.
Fitness Requirements
While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, a basic level of fitness will be required. If you have any concerns please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel.
As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available.
Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. While tipping is not customary, it's of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many destinations.
You may also consider tipping your tour leader and driver for outstanding service throughout your trip. Remember, a tip is not compulsory and should only be given when you receive excellent service.
