Starting Point
Your starting hotel may differ from the original itinerary. Please refer to your final documentation which will be provided approximately 14-30 days before departure for your confirmed hotel list. If you need to book pre-tour accommodation independently, we suggest you do this only once you have received your final hotel list for your tour. If you would like to book something sooner, we recommend that you book using a flexible rate that can be cancelled through your chosen third-party provider without penalty.
Travellers will arrive at various times throughout the day depending on flights booked. If arriving before standard check-in time, which is generally 3pm, you are welcome to leave your luggage at hotel reception and explore your surroundings until check-in becomes available as there are no scheduled activities on day 1 of the itinerary. The hotel may grant early check-in, however this is strictly subject to availability and at the hotel’s discretion.
Note: if you need to apply for a tourist visa before departure, we recommend using the details of the suggested hotel on the tour itinerary if you wish to fulfil this before the release of your final tour documentation. Please refer to our visa section for more information on whether or not a visa is required for your destination.
Arrival Details
Airport transfers are included as part of your package, so long as you are arriving as per the purchased itinerary. If you have purchased an extension, either pre or post-tour, the applicable transfer service will be forfeited from your package and you will need to make your arrangements to the starting hotel.
Where the service remains included, on arrival look out for a representative holding an “Inspiring Vacations” sign after you have collected your baggage and exited customs. If you cannot find them, try to avoid wandering around and instead stay in one place and call the emergency contact number on your documentation.
Where the service has been forfeited due to an early arrival and extended stay, we do offer airport transfers at an additional cost which can be booked via your Traveller Hub. We recommend you wait until you receive your final documentation to book transfers as your start and end hotels will only be confirmed at this point. Please note that if you are choosing to book an independent airport transfer service, your Inspiring Vacations Tour Leader cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen circumstances that may arise, nor can they resolve any concerns that you may have with your transfer service.
To make your way to your hotel from the airport, there are various connections by metro, taxi or bus. The airport information desks can provide helpful advice, too. Most destinations offer ride-share services, such as Uber or Didi.
If you're having any problems finding the hotel, please ring the hotel directly or you can phone our customer support team for on-tour assistance.
Welcome Meeting Instructions
You are welcome to arrive at any time on Day 1 of your tour and the day is at your leisure. You will meet your tour leader and fellow travellers on day 2 for a welcome meeting, after breakfast, and before your Kathmandu tour.
In Case of Emergency
Although we strive to deliver exceptional holiday experiences, unforeseen circumstances can occasionally arise during travel. If any issues arise during your tour, it's essential to promptly communicate them to your tour leader or local representative. This ensures they can take immediate action to address the problem and mitigate any negative impact on the remainder of your journey.
We understand that there may be instances where your tour leader or local representative is unable to resolve a situation to your satisfaction. In such cases, we encourage you to request that the tour leader or local representative escalate the matter to their direct manager for further assistance.
When your final tour documentation is released, this will include an emergency contact for our local travel partner while you are on tour. If this is not included in your documentation, you will receive this on arrival during your welcome meeting.
Finishing Point
Your finishing hotel may differ from the original itinerary. Please refer to your final documentation which will be provided approximately 14-30 days before departure for your confirmed hotel list. If you need to book additional post-tour accommodation, please do so once you have the final hotel list. We recommend booking a flexible rate that can be changed or cancelled without penalty should there be any unforeseen changes to your booking.
Travellers will depart at various times throughout the day depending on flights booked. Check-out time is generally from 10am-12pm. You are welcome to leave your luggage at the hotel reception and spend your final moments of free time exploring the area or please speak with hotel staff if you would like to extend your check-out time. This service is subject to availability and will likely come at an additional cost payable directly.

Hotel Ratings
Star ratings can differ between countries, reflecting diverse standards and amenities. To give you the most accurate picture possible, we don't just rely on a single source for hotel ratings. This allows us to analyse a wider range of genuine customer reviews and experiences, giving you a well-rounded understanding of the hotel's typical star rating.
Accommodation Details
This tour features a curated selection of 4 to 5-star hotels and resorts throughout India and Sri Lanka. Each accommodation has been carefully chosen based on a stringent set of criteria, ensuring the high standards of comfort and convenience. Packing Essentials
What you need to pack for your tour will vary according to the tour style you have chosen, the countries you are visiting and when you are travelling. We recommend you pack as lightly as possible, ensuring that you can carry and lift your luggage, and walk with it for short distances or up or down a flight of stairs.
A lockable suitcase with wheels is ideal for this tour. Many tours will include internal flights which often have luggage weight restrictions, and it is recommended that you keep your main luggage weight around 15kg and no more than 20kg. A small or medium-sized backpack (45-50 litres) is another good option. You'll also need a day pack/bag to carry water, a camera, a jacket, and your essentials while touring during the day.
Clothing: Pack a mix of lightweight and warm layers. Long sleeves and pants are beneficial for mosquito protection. Choose clothes that are easy to wash and dry. Bring an outfit for dining out, and ensure you have attire that covers shoulders and knees for temple visits. Women might find a light scarf useful for additional coverage.
Footwear: Closed-in shoes are recommended to protect your feet from injuries and potential bites or stings, whether you're walking in urban areas or through nature.
Sun Protection: Bring a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses to shield yourself from the sun.
Medical Kit: It's good to carry personal items like mild painkillers, electrolytes, Band-Aids, and insect repellent. Ensure you plan ahead and have any prescription medicines you may require.
Water Bottle: A capacity of at least 1.5 litres is recommended to reduce the environmental impact of bottled water.
Camera/Phone: Don’t forget to bring something to capture memories.
Comfort Items: Earplugs can help with noisy environments, a good book or journal for downtime, and a music player for entertainment.
Climate
This region of Nepal experiences a varied climate shaped by the Himalayan foothills, fertile valleys, and lowland plains. Temperatures and weather change noticeably with the seasons.
The best time for clear skies and uninterrupted Himalayan views in Nepal is October to early December, when post-monsoon air is crisp, rainfall minimal, and visibility at its peak. A secondary window runs from late January to early March, with generally clear skies and only occasional winter haze at lower altitudes.
October to November is the most comfortable period for travel, with clear skies, mild to warm days, and cooler nights. Early mornings can feel crisp, so travellers should bring light layers.
December to January is dry and sunny, but colder—especially in the mountains and higher valleys.
April to June brings warmer conditions, with some areas becoming hot and humid as summer approaches. Haze can build during this period, and sun protection and hydration are essential.
July to September is the monsoon season. Expect warm, humid weather and regular rainfall, ranging from brief showers to heavier downpours. Landscapes become lush and green, but travel can be slower due to wet conditions.
Across the region, travellers should be prepared for a mix of warm days, cooler mornings and evenings, and potential humidity depending on the season. Lightweight clothing and layers will ensure comfort throughout the journey.
Northern India experiences a distinctly varied climate throughout the year. Days can be warm to hot, with dry desert air in many regions, while evenings are often cooler and more comfortable, especially outside the summer months.
October to March is considered the most pleasant time to visit. Days are generally mild to warm, with clear skies and low humidity, while nights can feel cool. Light layers are useful for early mornings and after sunset.
April to June brings very high temperatures, often becoming extremely hot by midday. The dry heat can be intense, so sun protection, hydration, and regular breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas are essential.
July to September marks the monsoon season. Rainfall can vary from brief showers to heavier downpours, usually in the afternoon or evening. Humidity increases during this period, though temperatures are slightly lower than peak summer.
Kerala has a tropical climate that is warm and humid year-round, with two distinct monsoon seasons. The southwest monsoon brings the heaviest rainfall from June to September, transforming the state into a lush, vivid green landscape but with frequent downpours and high humidity. A second, lighter northeast monsoon affects the region from October to early December.
The dry season from December to March is generally regarded as the best time to visit, with warm days, cooler evenings and minimal rainfall. Coastal areas such as Kochi and Alleppey see daytime temperatures between 28°C and 32°C, while the hill country around Thekkady sits noticeably cooler, with daytime temperatures around 20–25°C and crisp evenings that may require a light jumper or shawl.
Sri Lanka's tropical climate offers warmth year-round, but weather conditions vary across the island. The southwest monsoon season from May to September brings heavy rains and humidity to the southwestern regions, including Colombo and Galle, making these areas lush and vibrant. In contrast, the northeast monsoon from October to January affects the northeastern parts.
The central highlands, including Kandy and Nuwara Eliya, experience cooler temperatures and frequent rain, providing a refreshing escape from the coastal heat. The best time to visit the southwest coast is from December to March, while the northeast coast is ideal from April to September. We recommend you pack accordingly, using adequate sun protection and staying hydrated, especially during the hot summer months.
Regardless of the season, Sri Lanka's diverse climate ensures a unique and enriching travel experience throughout the year.
Regardless of the season, travellers should be prepared for bright sunshine, warm days, and a mix of city heat, dry countryside air, and cooler evenings. Comfortable clothing, reliable sun protection, and plenty of water will help ensure a pleasant journey.
Currency and ATMs
Nepal’s currency is the Nepalese Rupee (NPR). Cash is essential for everyday purchases, small shops, local eateries, and rural areas, where card facilities are limited. ATMs are widely available in larger towns and tourist areas, though they may be less reliable in smaller communities. Machines often have low withdrawal limits and can occasionally run out of cash during busy periods.
Most ATMs accept international cards, but transaction fees vary by bank, so it’s sensible to withdraw larger amounts less frequently. Keep some small notes for markets, taxis, and tips, as change may not always be available.
Credit cards are accepted in mid- to high-end hotels, restaurants, and selected shops, but cash remains the primary method of payment throughout the country. Always inform your bank before travelling, and carry a second card as a backup. Keep cash secure and avoid using damaged or torn notes, as they may be refused by some vendors.
India’s currency is the Indian Rupee (INR). Cash is widely used, especially in markets, small shops, rural areas, and for tipping. ATMs are common in major towns and cities, though availability can vary in smaller or more remote areas.
Most ATMs accept international cards, but daily withdrawal limits may differ by bank, and some machines can occasionally run out of cash. It’s best to withdraw money in larger towns when you have the opportunity and keep some smaller notes handy for everyday purchases.
Major hotels, larger restaurants, and bigger shops generally accept credit and debit cards, but it’s sensible to carry sufficient cash throughout your journey, as card facilities may not be available everywhere.
Notify your bank before travelling and consider bringing two cards in case one is declined. As with any destination, keep cash secure and avoid using damaged or overly worn notes, as they may not always be accepted.
The official currency of Sri Lanka is the Rupee (LKR). ATMs are widely available and accept credit and debit cards, and major credit cards are accepted in larger shops and restaurants in major cities. However, for small payments, credit and debit cards are typically not accepted, so it's essential to have LKR cash on hand for daily expenses.
Food and Allergies
Nepalese cuisine is warm, comforting, and often mildly spiced, with influences from both India and Tibet. Expect dishes like dal bhat (lentils with rice), vegetable curries, steamed momos, and hearty soups. Fresh produce is widely used, and vegetarian options are common. Meals are generally wholesome and simple, making it easy to find something familiar even if you prefer mild flavours.
Indian cuisine is rich, diverse, and deeply regional, offering an exciting range of flavours shaped by centuries of tradition. Expect fragrant spices, slow-cooked curries, fresh breads, and vibrant vegetarian dishes. Meals often feature rice, lentils, vegetables, and aromatic gravies, with popular accompaniments like roti, naan, chutneys, and pickles. Street food is a highlight, from savoury chaats and dosas to freshly fried samosas and pakoras.
Vegetarian food is widely available, with many dishes naturally plant-based due to longstanding cultural and religious traditions. Vegan options can often be accommodated, though ghee, yoghurt, and paneer are commonly used ingredients, so it’s important to check with your Tour Leader or restaurant staff.
Keralan cuisine is one of the most distinctive in India — fragrant, coconut-rich and shaped by centuries of spice trade with the Arab world, Europe and China. Expect generous use of coconut, curry leaves, mustard seeds and a wealth of locally grown spices including cardamom, black pepper, cloves and cinnamon. Rice is the staple, often paired with sambar, rasam, fish curry or vegetable thoran (a stir-fried coconut and vegetable dish).
Seafood features heavily along the coast, with Kerala-style fish curry, prawn moilee and karimeen pollichathu (pearl spot fish wrapped in banana leaf) all worth seeking out. Breakfast specialties include appam (lacy rice pancakes) with stew, puttu (steamed rice flour and coconut), and idli with chutney. Vegetarian options are abundant given the strong tradition of plant-based cooking, and the iconic sadya — a multi-dish vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf — is a must-try.
Sri Lankan cuisine is a delightful blend of flavours, heavily influenced by its diverse cultural heritage. Expect aromatic spices, fresh ingredients, and vibrant dishes. Rice and curry is a staple, often accompanied by an array of side dishes, including vegetables, lentils, and pickles. Seafood is abundant, with dishes like fish curry and prawn sambal being popular, especially along the coast. Street food is a must-try, offering treats like hoppers (bowl-shaped pancakes), kottu roti (chopped flatbread with vegetables and meat), and samosas. For those with dietary restrictions, vegetarian and vegan options are plentiful, given the significant Buddhist influence. Many curries and rice dishes are naturally plant-based. However, for gluten-free diets, it's important to check ingredient lists, as soy sauce and other additives might contain gluten.
Travellers with allergies or dietary restrictions should exercise caution. Cross-contamination is possible in busy kitchens, and ingredients like nuts, dairy, gluten, and spices may be used in ways that are not always obvious. While many restaurants are able to assist with simple requests, strict dietary requirements cannot always be guaranteed, particularly during long travel days, train journeys, or in more rural areas. Your Tour Leader will help where possible by communicating your needs and suggesting suitable dishes.
While travelling with Inspiring Vacations you'll enjoy iconic sightseeing, as well as experience the vast array of culinary offerings in India. While many meals will be eaten together with your group, not all meals are included in your tour which gives you maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat. If you have dietary requirements and/or food allergies, please let our Customer Support Team know before departure. Your Inspiring Vacations Tour Guide or Local Guide will also be able to give suggestions on which restaurants to try during your tour. For those with a particular food allergy, your Inspiring Vacations Tour Guide will endeavour to advise the main ingredients in the dishes consumed. It is, however, still your responsibility to ensure that you do not ingest any problematic ingredients.
Local Customs
Nepal is warm, welcoming, and culturally diverse, and a few simple customs will help you feel at ease. Modest dress is appreciated, especially in religious or rural areas. Removing shoes before entering temples and private homes is customary. A gentle “Namaste” with hands pressed together is the traditional greeting and is warmly received.
Always ask before photographing people or religious sites, and avoid touching sacred objects unless invited. Public displays of affection are uncommon. When visiting busy markets or villages, patience and politeness go a long way, and showing respect for local traditions will make your interactions more meaningful.
Non-Hindus may not be permitted to enter certain religious sites.
India is a culturally rich and diverse country, and understanding a few local customs will help you feel more comfortable and connected during your journey. Respectful behaviour is valued, and modest clothing is appreciated, especially when visiting temples, mosques, and sacred sites. Covering shoulders and knees is recommended, and removing shoes is customary before entering many religious places or private homes.
A gentle greeting with a slight nod or hands pressed together in “Namaste” is common and warmly received. Public displays of affection are uncommon, particularly in rural areas, so it’s best to keep interactions discreet. When interacting with locals, especially women, it’s polite to maintain a respectful distance unless they initiate closer contact.
Photography is generally welcome, but always ask before taking pictures of people, religious ceremonies, or in sensitive locations. At temples or holy sites, follow instructions from attendants and avoid touching shrines or ritual objects unless invited.
In busy markets and crowded streets, patience goes a long way. Bargaining is normal in many local shops and stalls, but should be done politely and with good humour. As everywhere, showing appreciation with a smile or thank you helps create warm and positive interactions.
Dress Code
Comfortable, modest clothing is recommended throughout your journey. Lightweight fabrics are ideal for the warm climate, but shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting religious or culturally significant sites. Some locations and ceremonies require additional modesty, such as covering the head, arms, and legs, including temple visits and the evening ceremony in Varanasi.
Loose-fitting trousers, long skirts, shawls, and light scarves are practical options. Footwear that’s easy to remove is helpful, as shoes must often be taken off before entering temples or sacred areas. Dressing respectfully will ensure you feel comfortable and welcomed at all sites.
Travellers to Sri Lanka will find a number of local customs and traditions that enhance the island's charm. Respect for religion is paramount; always remove your shoes and hats before entering temples, and dress modestly with shoulders and knees covered. Pointing with your finger, turning your back to religious statues, or touching someone’s head are considered disrespectful.
Responsible Dining
Avoid consuming endangered species or items harvested unsustainably. Be respectful of local customs and food practices, and always tip fairly to support local workers. Responsible dining helps protect the environment and promotes the well-being of local communities.
Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. As a guide, in Nepal, we recommend USD 2 per person per day for your driver and USD 5 per person per day for your tour leader.
In India we recommend around 700INR per person, per day, which covers your Tour Leader and driver.
In Sri Lanka you will be asked to provide tipping to your guide towards a ‘kitty’, which is then used towards the guide tipping for the services of helpers, hotel staff, restaurants and airport porterage. You will be asked for LKR7000 per person. Please note that this tipping is not for the guide or driver, merely for the guide to tip the services of other local workers during your tour. While not made compulsory, if you choose not to contribute to the kitty it means that the guide is tipping for these services out of their own pocket. Your cooperation in this instance is most appreciated. Further, tipping for your guide and driver will be collected at the conclusion of their services. To remove the uncertainty and stress of not knowing how much is appropriate to tip we recommend LKR1200 per person per day for your guide and LKR600 per person per day for your driver to be paid in local currency. The amount you wish to contribute is dependent on the services received and at the complete discretion of the guest.
These amounts are suggestions only—please feel free to tip according to your personal preference and level of satisfaction with the services provided.
Peak Travel Times
In Nepal, the most popular times to visit are during the dry seasons of autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May), when the weather is generally clear, mild, and comfortable for sightseeing. These periods see higher visitor numbers and increased demand for accommodation and transport.
India’s peak travel season generally falls between October and March, when the weather is cooler and more comfortable. These months see higher visitor numbers, especially around major festivals and holiday periods. April to June is considered low season due to the heat, while July to September is quieter with monsoon conditions in many regions.
The peak travel times in Sri Lanka are primarily influenced by the island's climate and festive seasons. The most popular time to visit the southwest coast, including popular destinations like Colombo, Galle, and the southern beaches, is from December to March when the weather is dry and sunny.
Additionally, the central highlands, including Kandy and Nuwara Eliya, are popular from January to April, offering cooler temperatures and clear skies. Major festivals, such as the Sinhala and Tamil New Year in April and the Kandy Esala Perahera in July or August, also attract many visitors.
Safety and Security
Most national governments provide regularly updated foreign travel advice on safety issues involved with international travel. We recommend that you check your own government's advice for the most up-to-date travel information before departure and ensure that your travel insurance covers you for all destinations and activities on your tour.
India is generally safe for travellers, but, as with all international destinations, it’s important to stay aware of your surroundings. Keep valuables secure, avoid displaying expensive items, and be cautious in crowded places where petty theft can occur. Use registered taxis or reputable ride services when travelling independently, and follow local advice, particularly after dark.
Your Inspiring Vacations Tour Leader or local representative will accompany you on all included activities listed on the itinerary, however, you'll have some free time to explore on your own. While your Inspiring Vacations tour leader or local guide will assist you as best they can with your requests and the options available outside your itinerary, please note Inspiring Vacations makes no representations about the safety of the activity or the standard of the operators running the activity. Please use your judgement when selecting an activity in your free time.
Please also note that your Inspiring Vacations tour leader or local guide has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it's deemed necessary due to safety concerns.
Apps to Download
Some useful apps you may want to consider downloading before your tour include Google Translate, the lens function is especially useful when wanting to read product labels, signs, and menus. Google Maps with offline maps downloaded is great for easy navigation without being reliant on wifi. We also recommend downloading WhatsApp before you leave and using this to communicate with other group members while on tour.
Itinerary Changes
Sometimes, unexpected things can happen, like unpredictable weather or higher-than-usual crowds at attractions. In these situations, your tour leader might need to adjust the itinerary slightly to improve your overall experience.
This flexibility ensures you get the most out of your trip! Your tour leader will always keep you informed of any changes and explain the reasoning behind them. Remember, when travelling with a group, sometimes going with the flow can lead to even more amazing experiences.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended on all our trips. We require that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses including emergency repatriation. It is also important to consider forced pre-trip cancellations and how your chosen insurance policy may cover such circumstances, so please keep this in mind when choosing your provider.
We strongly recommend all travellers have a policy that also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage or personal effects. For international trips, you will be asked by your tour leader for your travel insurance details if they were not already added to your Traveller Hub account pre-departure.
If you have credit card insurance your Inspiring Vacations tour leader or local guide may require details of the participating insurer/underwriter, the level of coverage, policy number, and emergency contact number rather than the bank's name and your credit card details. Please contact your bank for these details before arriving in-country.
Before you depart, you will be asked to submit your Travel Insurance details through the booking holder's Traveller Hub account through the Inspiring Vacations website. This is to ensure that we have this information readily available should we ever need it.

All travellers need to be in good physical health to participate fully on this trip. For the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others, if you are unwell before travelling, please stay at home and contact us to make alternative arrangements.
When selecting your trip please make sure you have read through the itinerary carefully to assess your ability to manage and enjoy our style of travel. If we find that you are unable to complete the itinerary without undue risk to yourself and/or the rest of the group, we reserve the right to exclude them from all or part of a trip without refund.
You should consult your doctor for up-to-date medical travel information or any necessary vaccinations before departure. We recommend that you carry a first aid kit as well as any personal medical requirements in their original packaging as they may not easily be obtained while travelling. If you are carrying medication, ensure you check your government's foreign travel advice for any local restrictions or requirements. For the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others, if you are unwell before travelling, please stay at home and contact us to make alternative arrangements and we would be more than happy to assist you.
Important Information for Customers with Mobility Limitations
We want to ensure everyone has a fantastic and inclusive experience on our tours. If you require the use of a mobility aid, such as a cane, walker, or wheelchair, please disclose this information at the time of booking.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for the entire group, our tours are designed with a specific itinerary in mind. This may involve moderate walking, uneven terrain, or stairs. While some itinerary adjustments may not be possible, we'll do our best to find alternative solutions within the planned activities whenever possible.
Open communication helps us ensure your trip is a perfect fit and it allows your local guide or tour leader to assist you where possible.
Information for CPAP Users
If you use a CPAP machine, please let us know at the time of booking. Some portions of our itinerary, like overnight cruises or camping trips, may have limited access to power outlets. In such cases, we recommend travelling with portable battery packs.
Certain activities, like overnight journeys on board smaller vessels, may not be suitable for CPAP use due to space limitations or noise concerns. We can discuss these potential limitations upfront and help you make informed decisions about your trip.
Documentation
Tour documentation is typically emailed to the lead passenger or your travel agent between 14-30 days before your scheduled departure. This will include your final hotel list.

Connect with fellow travellers on Facebook
During your booking journey, you might have received an email inviting you to join a special Facebook group dedicated to your chosen destination. These vibrant online communities are exclusively for Inspiring Vacations travellers headed to the same incredible place. Joining this group unlocks a wealth of information and connections. Travelling in a Group
Travelling in a group means you will experience both the pleasures and perhaps at times, some of the frustrations of travelling with people you don’t know. The good news is you all have at least one thing in common: a love of travel and exploration. Your fellow travellers will probably come from different parts of the world, and fall into different age groups. We ask you to be understanding of the various needs and preferences of your group—patience with your fellow travellers is sometimes required for the overall benefit of the group. If you are requested to be at a place at a certain time, please ensure that you respect this request from your tour leader or local guide. Due to privacy reasons, we are unable to provide you with contact details and any personal information about your fellow travellers booked on your trip before departure.
Community Guidelines
Inspiring Vacations does not tolerate any kind of violence, harassment (whether physical, verbal or sexual), or disrespect toward fellow travellers, our teams (Inspiring Vacations Tour Leaders and local expert guides) or local communities.
Any behaviour that prevents your Inspiring Vacations Tour Leader from continuing the itinerary as planned, breaks local laws or opposes any of these guidelines, may result in Inspiring Vacations removing you from the tour.
If something concerns you during your travels, please speak to your Inspiring Vacations Tour Leader immediately. Alternatively, when you are on-tour and require immediate support you can contact our Customer Support team and select the “On-Tour” option when listening to the options.
Inspiring Vacations Tour Leader vs Guide
While both tour leaders and local guides enrich your travel experience, their roles differ. Tour leaders, who often accompany you for the entire trip, handle logistics, ensure smooth sailing of the itinerary, and act as your point of contact for any concerns. They might provide general information about destinations, but in-depth historical or cultural knowledge often comes from local guides. Local guides, frequently native to the area, lead tours at specific sites or attractions, offering a deeper understanding of the local history, art, or way of life.
Coach Transportation
The size of your coach will comfortably accommodate your group. There's usually room for some extra seats, ensuring a relaxing journey. Your luggage will be safely stored either underneath the coach or in a dedicated trailer.
While the exact coach style may vary depending on the departure, all our coaches offer comfortable seating. Keep in mind that Wi-Fi and charging outlets might not always be available. To stay connected and avoid dead batteries, we recommend fully charging your devices beforehand or bringing a portable charger.
For longer journeys, we'll make sure to include ample restroom breaks along the way, so you can freshen up and recharge at your convenience, as facilities are not on-board the coach.
Staying Connected
If you want to stay connected and access reliable internet while on tour, there are a few options available. It is possible to purchase a virtual sim and we recommend contacting your mobile phone provider for assistance in doing so. You can add a roaming data plan to your existing phone contract is another option, albeit an expensive one. You will need to arrange this before departure. Purchasing a local SIM may be possible as a final option.
We also recommend downloading WhatsApp and using this to communicate with other group members while on tour, and of course, after the tour if you’d like to stay in touch. Our tour leaders may also use this as a means of communicating essential trip information with you, as well as if you choose to add-on transfers to your booking, as your driver may use this to confirm arrangements with you.
Post-Tour Feedback
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a link to a post-purchase survey, which is your opportunity to share your feedback with us on your booking experience and interactions with our Sales and Customer Success teams. This feedback is invaluable to ensure that we are servicing our customers to the best of our ability.
Furthermore, towards the end of your travels and while you are in your destination, you will receive an email from us with a link to an in-depth trip survey. It is very important to us that we hear from our customers to ensure that we continue to meet and exceed customers' expectations, so this will be your opportunity to let us know how your trip has been, what has worked well and potentially what could be improved.
This is a Land Only package.
This package does not include international airfares. If you would like to add airfares to your booking our flight portal will be available via your Traveller Hub. The flight portal will allow you to search for all available airfares to your destination. The function works like most general flight search engines allowing you to select your preferred airline, book different cabin classes (eg. Business class) and view flight durations and transit times to your destination.
The flight portal will be available via your Traveller Hub once the following criteria has been met:
Visit our Flight Hub for more information on terms and conditions, amending your flights and information on luggage allowances.
