Upon arrival into Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB), you will be met in the arrivals hall by a local representative who will escort you to your shuttle transfer to your hotel. Even if you arrive a day or two before your tour starts, this service will be included and a local representative will still meet you on arrival into O.R. Tambo International Airport. It is imperative that you locate this representative and receive your Welcome Pack documentation.
Even if you arrive days before your tour commences, the Meet & Greet service will still be arranged for you and will be there to hand over your documentation and escort you to your included transfer.

Today, we embark on a journey to eSwatini (Swaziland), a self-governing kingdom located within the confines of South Africa. Renowned for its picturesque landscapes, vibrant crafts, and rich indigenous culture, eSwatini offers a delightful experience. Through an engaging cultural encounter, we will have the opportunity to interact with the warm-hearted locals and gain insights into their fascinating traditions. We will then continue our southward journey to reach our hotel, nestled amidst the majestic mountain peaks of eSwatini (Swaziland), where we will spend the night.
Following breakfast, we set out on an exploration of eSwatini (Swaziland). Our first destination is Ngwenya Glass, a remarkable establishment where a talented group of eSwati craftsmen and women passionately craft exquisite pieces using recycled glass. We then proceed to The Swazi Candles Centre, where you will witness local artisans skillfully handcrafting candles. Continuing our journey, we enter the Kingdom of KwaZulu-Natal, where a harmonious blend of ancient traditions and modern cultures, encompassing both Zulu and Settler influences, has formed a thriving and vibrant society.
In the late afternoon, we arrive at our hotel, where we will spend the night, immersed in the beauty and tranquillity of the surroundings.

Our journey in Durban begins with an informative orientation tour, taking us along the scenic Golden Mile, the lively beachfront promenade, The Point Waterfront, and the bustling harbour. This tour provides a glimpse into the multicultural and dynamic atmosphere of this vibrant coastal city. We conclude the orientation tour with a visit to the picturesque Durban Botanic Gardens, a tranquil oasis of natural beauty.

Enjoy a morning, 3-hour open vehicle safari into the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, Africa’s oldest game reserve and world renowned for its highly successful white rhino conservation programme, the reserve is home to 84 species of game, including the ‘Big Five’, and an impressive 425 types of birds.
Indulge in a relaxed morning or explore the lively Umhlanga Beach by taking a leisurely walk along the vibrant Promenade mile, where you'll find a bustling atmosphere with surfers, joggers, and cyclists enjoying this seaside playground. Afterward, we venture into the magnificent Southern Drakensberg Mountains. We pay a visit to the awe-inspiring Howick Falls, a remarkable waterfall towering at 300 feet, located in the town of Howick in KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. Today, our journey takes us further south towards the Eastern Cape, marking the fourth province on our route and the cherished birthplace of Nelson Mandela. Along the way, we have the opportunity to witness the traditional way of life in the former homeland region known as the Transkei. We make a stop just outside the capital city of Mthatha, immersing ourselves in the local surroundings.
Continuing our travels, we pass by Nelson Mandela's birthplace and childhood home before finally reaching our accommodation in Chinsta East, nestled along the pristine and untainted coastline of the Eastern Cape. In the evening, delight in a delectable dinner at your lodge, showcasing a variety of local delicacies to tantalise your taste buds.
The morning offers us the perfect opportunity to relax and rejuvenate by the sea. Stretching out for countless kilometres, the beach provides an uninterrupted expanse of beauty, while the lush indigenous beach forest offers a sanctuary for an astonishing array of bird species. Our journey continues as we embark on a southward route, making our way towards the enchanting Tsitsikamma Forest.
In the afternoon we arrive at the charming Tsitsikamma Village Inn. This historic hotel offers scenic accommodation in Storms River along the Garden Route of South Africa, tucked away in the lush Tsitsikamma forest.
Following a relaxed breakfast, explore the awe-inspiring Tsitsikamma Forest, renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and offering picturesque trails for walking enthusiasts. Take a short stroll to the Storms River Mouth, where you'll be treated to magnificent vistas of the gorge and the flowing river below.
Later, we make our way to Knysna, famously referred to as the oyster box of South Africa, where we check in at our hotel. This evening, enjoy an included dinner at the hotel.
Following breakfast, we embark on an inland journey, traversing the stunning Outeniqua Pass towards Oudtshoorn. This charming town is renowned as the global hub for feathers due to its thriving ostrich industry. Our first stop is a visit to a functioning ostrich farm, where we gain fascinating insights into these magnificent creatures. Continuing our exploration, we venture into the renowned Cango Caves, where we are treated to a walk amidst the captivating dripstone formations of stalactites and stalagmites. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in Oudtshoorn, immersing ourselves in the unique ambiance of the town.
Our expedition today takes us along the renowned Route 62, a scenic route that meanders through the picturesque landscape of the Little Karoo, culminating in the vibrant city of Cape Town. Along the way, we make a stop in Calitzdorp, where we have the opportunity to sample exceptional port-style wines renowned for their exceptional quality. After this delightful detour, we continue our journey, passing through Worcester and traversing the Huguenot Tunnel, finally reaching our destination, Cape Town, during the late afternoon.
Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore the wonders of Cape Town on your own. Discover the vibrant V&A Waterfront, where a variety of shops and dining options await you. Alternatively, take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting Bo Kaap neighbourhood, known for its vibrant colours and rich cultural heritage. Delve into history by visiting the historic Company Gardens or exploring the captivating museums that tell the compelling story of Cape Town's history and its connection to the slave trade.

Our drive through the city centre takes us past famous landmarks such as the Castle of Good Hope built in 1666 by the Dutch East India Company, City Hall, a baroque building, and the Grand Parade. As we follow the city’s main thoroughfare, Adderley Street, we will see St. George’s Cathedral, the Anglican Diocese of Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu. We will pass the Company Gardens and the Malay Quarter (also known as the Bo-Kaap) which means "Above Cape" because of its location up against the slopes of Table Mountain. Continue to join a sparkling tour, witness the art of diamond cutting and the careful craftsmanship of jewellery manufacturing by skilled experts. Continue to Table Mountain, where you can ascend to the top (weather permitting) by revolving cable car. See wildflowers, the famous silver tree, and marvel at a birds-eye view of the city and its beaches. On a clear day it is even possible to see Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned on one side and Cape Point on the other.

Note: Visit to Table Mountain is weather dependent and can be cancelled at last minute. During the winter months (usually from end of July to early August) the cable car will close for approximately 2-3 weeks for annual maintenance and will not be operational.
Our tour starts with a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast, passing through Sea Point and Camps Bay, offering stunning views of the Twelve Apostles and Table Mountain range. We'll then reach the hidden fishing village of Hout Bay, where you can take a boat trip to Seal Island (optional and at your own expense, time permitting) to see Cape Fur Seals. Next, we'll visit Cape Point Nature Reserve, home to diverse wildlife such as baboons, zebra, and tortoises, and boasting a vast range of indigenous flora and fauna.
The dramatic coastline showcases the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, known as the "Nature's Greatest Show." We might feel the invigorating Cape Doctor wind, believed to have healing properties. Continuing along False Bay, we'll return to Cape Town via Simon's Town, where we'll visit the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach (optional) and the Fish Hoek fishing village. Weather permitting, we'll have afternoon tea and cake at Rhodes Memorial, providing breathtaking views of the city from the slopes of Table Mountain. Join a fun filled evening of interactive entertainment and delectable food at Gold Restaurant. Sample a set Cape Malay / African style menu which is served at the table in sharing and individual portions. The evening starts off with an interactive djembe drumming session followed by a traditional soothing hand washing ceremony. A professional djembe drum instructor will teach you how to play the basic rhythms of the djembe drum. Live entertainment during dinner includes a Mali puppet show which involves story telling with singers, dancers, puppets, and musicians. The final performance is by the waiters and kitchen staff who will entertain you with some local song and dances.

Your local guide will help you capture the best shots of Cape Town’s iconic landmarks. Start with Table Mountain (cable car ticket at your expense), then explore Cape Point Nature Reserve, where you can photograph the historic Cape Point lighthouse from 1859. Visit Boulders Beach (entrance fee at your expense) to see the African Penguin colony, and then head to Muizenberg Beach, renowned for its vibrant beach huts and surfing. Conclude your tour at Groot Constantia Wine Estate with a wine tasting, which includes a souvenir crystal glass, and a stroll through the vineyards.

Join us for a marine safari where you might encounter great white sharks, whales, Cape fur seals, and various seabirds. On a 2-hour cruise from Gansbaai, Marine Biologists will provide insights into the fascinating wildlife that frequents our shores. The scenic drive from Cape Town to Gansbaai takes about 2.5 hours.
This morning after breakfast, check out of the hotel by 1100am. The remainder of the day will be at leisure until your transfer to Cape Town International airport for your flight home.
Departure transfers are included as part of your package. You will be collected from your hotel at the appropriate time and transferred to the airport to meet your flight.

Some of our packages will include airport transfers in either one or both directions when arriving or departing from your destination. Access to this portal is available through your Traveller Hub once your booking is confirmed. Transfers are readily available and do not need to be booked until your final hotel list has been confirmed. Fitness Requirements

Lively Pace: A very good level of fitness and mobility is required for you to enjoy all aspects of the itinerary, as this is considered a fast-paced tour. While there is some free time scheduled either in the morning or afternoon, there are many full days of sightseeing with minimal rest and some early starts. You will be required to walk up and down stairs, get on and off the coach and participate in all scheduled sightseeing that may be conducted on uneven ground and terrain. Any physical ailments you may have must be disclosed at the time of booking to determine your suitability. If you have any form of walking aids, other than a walking stick or hiking poles, then this tour is not suitable.
Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. Tipping is not compulsory on your trip, but they can make a big difference to locals employed in the tourism industry and is a welcome way to show your appreciation. If you feel that your guide/s and driver have done an impeccable job, you can choose to give a gratuity, but this is entirely your decision.
The suggested tipping amounts for Africa is AUD$5-7 per person per day for the guide and AUD$3 per person person day for your driver, to be paid in either local currency or USD, so you will need to convert your currency depending on your preference. Please note that this information is to be used as a guideline only and is subject to change based on the recommendations that we receive from our ground operator. Tipping is not compulsory and should be done at your discretion.

We recommend carrying a first aid kit and any necessary medications in their original packaging, as they may not be readily available during travel.
