Welcome to Ljubljana! Upon arrival your private transfer will drive you to your Spa Hotel in Stajerska - Slovenia's biggest wine region, approximately 100 km from the airport.
Start your day with a visit this colorful capital, Ljubljana. Your guide will take you around and show you the most important attractions, such as Preseren’s square, triple bridge, fish market, the town hall and many others. To wrap up the tour, you will also take funicular up to the castle hill to learn more about Ljubljana and Slovenia’s history whilst admiring amazing views from the top. The rest of the afternoon will be free at leisure, to enjoy city at your own pace.
Say goodbye to Ljubljana and drive Zagreb, Croatia. Join a guided walking tour of this historical capital city and visit the Gornji Grad and Kaptol to witness the medieval urban complex of churches, palaces, museums, galleries and government buildings. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to enjoy and discover the city on your own.
After breakfast we set off to one of the most photogenic natural parks: Plitvice National Park. This area of exceptional natural is not only Croatia’s first national park but also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its 16 emerald-turquoise lakes are connected to each other by a fabulous system of waterfalls. After a guided tour of the park you will enjoy some time to explore the area on your own. Later in the afternoon we will transfer to our hotel in Plitvice area for the night. From lakes and waterfalls, the road then takes us to blue Adriatic coastline. Opatija, has emerged as an exclusive holiday resort, hosting eminent guests such as Emperor Franz Josef I, empress Maria Anna and many others.
Istria is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. The peninsula is located at the head of the Adriatic between Gulf of Trieste and Kvarner Gulf and it is shared by three countries: Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. Rovinj is one of the most popular and most developed resorts in Croatia. The old town is built on an island and it is the most picturesque and romantic Mediterranean town. Pula is a seafront city on the tip of Istrian peninsula, known for its protected harbor, beach-lined coast and Romans ruins like Amphitheatre. The visit of those jewels will keep you speechless.
Today your adventure will continue underground, more precisely, Karst underground. Your first stop - Predjama, amazing Renaissance fortress, built within a cave, a very different kind of castle you may be familiar with. Even Guinness book of records listed it as the biggest castle ever built inside a rock. Later, enter the queen of caves – Postojna cave, the only cave in the world with a train in it. The cave offers a unique experience of the underworld. After a breath-taking walk underground, enjoy free time for lunch. In the afternoon we drive to the Julian Alps region.
Time for an Alpine fairy tale! With immense natural beauty, Bled and its surroundings magnificent lake, rank amongst the most beautiful alpine resorts of the world. Amazing castle on the cliff offers stunning views of the region, while an island in the middle of the lake can be visited by a traditional boat called “pletna”. After lunch, continue to the largest alpine lake in Slovenia – lake Bohinj. You will take a funicular up to the top of Mt Vogel, where your breath will be taken away by unforgettable views of Triglav National Park. Enjoy free time to admire this natural beauty and relax by the lake's shore. In the evening, join you group for a farewell dinner to share memorable moments of the tour and plan new ones.
After one last delicious breakfast, enjoy free time until it's time for you to depart. At the appropriate time, your included transfer will take you to the airport in time to board your ongoing flight.
