Welcome to one of the most remote areas on Earth!

There have been spectacular photo opportunities so far, but Antarctica is in an entirely different category. Go ashore by Zodiac boat to explore the breathtaking Antarctic scenery and get close to penguins and seals. You will feel like a real explorer from the moment you set foot on the endless expanse of snow and ice and from the deck there will be ample opportunities to see whales.

Over the next six days we’ll be making various landings in different locations throughout the peninsula. Enjoy close encounters with wildlife and glaciers, and visit old whaling stations and its relics. Trust us when we say that every second of this journey has something new to offer.

One of the highlights of the South Shetlands is Deception Island. When we sail into the natural harbor of this volcanic island, you will see an abandoned whaling station known as Hektor and a derelict British base.

Over the course of the next few days we’ll also visit Wilhelmina Bay, Paradise Harbor and other remote locations. Join gatherings where the various members of the expedition team recount the day’s activities, make presentations, and discuss the next day’s plan. These gatherings are great opportunities to share experiences and mingle with your fellow explorers.

Iguazu Falls is one of the most famous attractions. These 275 massive waterfalls are divided between Argentina and Brazil and provide vastly different views and experiences depending on which side they are viewed from. In the "Land of the Falls," visitors can revel in the splendour of the natural forests, rivers and lakes. Travellers also have the unique opportunity to experience the falls and attractions not only in Brazil but in Ciudad del Este (Paraguay) and Puerto Iguazú (Argentina) as well.

Today visit the Argentinean side of Iguazu Waterfalls. Gain a deep perspective of the breathtaking waterfalls, recently named one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Three set of trails and walkways allow exploring the natural beauty of the falls and the surrounding jungle as you walk through the National Park. On the lower circuit take in a view of the falls from below, feeling part of the natural surroundings, and sensing their great magnitude. The upper circuit takes you above the falls where you get a different perspective of the same waterfalls you just saw on the lower circuits. No visit to Iguazu is complete without viewing the Devil’s Throat Falls, where you stand just feet from the thundering cascades of water tumbling to depths below.

Today enjoy a tour to the Brazilian side of the falls. During the walk along footbridges, get a panoramic view of the Isla San Martín, one of the most majestic waterfalls: the Bossetti, the San Martín and the Three Musketeers. Towards the end of the walk is the viewpoint, from which you can appreciate a unique view of the Devil’s Throat, which, at this point, is only about 150 metres away. This wonderful view is even more enhanced by the constant formation of rainbows.

At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport to board the flight back to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival at Jorge Newbery Airport, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel.

Today, you will be transferred to Buenos Aires International Airport for your scheduled flight home. We hope you enjoyed your journey to Antarctica with us!

Please refer to conditions below, which are agreed to at time of purchase.

Can I extend my stay pre- and/or post-tour?

This depends on the package you are booking.

Where available, extensions must be added at time of purchase and cannot be added post-purchase unless inside the 7-day cooling off period.

We can assist in arranging your airfares to accommodate an extension; however, you must also book the additional nights’ accommodation through us at time of booking (where available as an add-on):

  • At check-out, please ensure you add the numbers of extra nights you would like pre- and/or post-tour (where available as an add-on). This can only be done at time of booking and cannot be added after purchase.
  • Some packages may only offer the opportunity to book one (1) extra night pre and/or post. If you want more nights’ than what is available to book you must choose Land Only (refer below).
  • If there is no option to add additional nights’ accommodation to your booking, then extending your stay with Inspiring Vacations is not an option and you can instead choose to change your booking to Land Only so you can arrange both your airfares and additional accommodation independently.

When adding additional nights to your booking, the cost of the extra nights’ accommodation will be reflected on your invoice and payable with the final balance.

Airfare surcharges may apply if extending due to airfare seasonal changes and possible fare differences. These are payable at the time of selecting your desired airfare.

The second installment of your booking must be made before airfares can be booked.

Outside of extending your stay you must select Land Only if:

  • You would like to stopover
  • You would like to upgrade your cabin class
  • You would like a specific airline booked
  • You would like to extend longer than what is available within the package
  • You intend to book additional accommodation independently
  • You would like to arrive and/or depart from another city or airport or;
  • Your preferred domestic departure city point (ie Perth, Australia) is not an option

If you are interested in one of the above options, please select LAND ONLY at time of check-out and you will need to arrange your own airfares. Inspiring Vacations will not be accountable for flight delays or missed tour components due to late arrival or airline changes.

  • Any airline schedule changes or cancellations are beyond our control and it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure they are familiar with the most up to date airline schedule prior to departure
  • After booking, the price payable may be subject to change as a result of factors beyond the control of Inspiring Vacations.
