Welcome to Perth! On arrival, make your own way to your centrally located hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel this morning before joining a half-day city tour of Perth and Fremantle.
Starting in Perth, the tour takes in all major attractions of the revitalised Perth CBD, passing Western Australian Cricket Ground (WACA) and Optus Stadium. Then on to Kings Park Botanical Gardens, where you have the opportunity to view wildflowers or take in the stunning views from the war memorial looking back over the city skyline. Continue through the affluent western suburbs of Perth, known as Millionaire’s Row, passing by Cottesloe Beach where the Indian Ocean sparkles. Travel on into historic Fremantle, viewing the impressive facades of this heritage-listed city including a brief stop.
You may wish to enjoy a relaxing Swan River cruise back to Perth. Alternatively, remain on the coach returning to Perth at approximately 12:30pm.
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to commence your exciting three-day small group tour to the Margaret River region. The day starts with a scenic drive from Perth through the charming seaside town of Mandurah, where we’ll take a coffee break at a café by the foreshore. We then continue to Bunbury to see handcrafted furniture and works of art made from beautiful local hardwoods. Hear stories of how the timber and logging industry shaped the southwest. Our next stop is for a delicious lunch at the Ship Hotel in Busselton.
We then take a leisurely walk along the famous Busselton Jetty, the longest timber pile jetty in the southern hemisphere, stretching 1.8km out into picturesque Geographe Bay. Our journey continues to Margaret River Chocolate Co. to explore the amazing range of products, or relax in the cafe with the perfect cup of coffee. Afterwards, we continue to the McLeod Family Farm. See mobs of Western Grey Kangaroos in their natural environment, and meet Neil’s friendly horses. Before settling into your accommodation we take a drive to the coast for spectacular views of world-class surf breaks.
We make the scenic drive to the coast for a tasty breakfast at one of Margaret River’s most popular cafés overlooking Gnarabup beach, before going underground to see remains of megafauna over 50,000 years old at Mammoth Cave.
Our day continues with a drive through the Boranup Karri Forest to gaze at the awe-inspiring trees towering over 65m tall. Bring your camera as this is one of the most beautiful pockets of forest in the southwest. Journey south to picturesque Hamelin Bay where a jetty once stood. Built for exporting timber, this old jetty has been in ruins for many years. The Bay is now most famous for the friendly stingrays that cruise the shallow waters.
Pass through the hilltop coastal town of Augusta with views of the Blackwood River on the way to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. The lighthouse marks the point where two oceans meet; the Southern Ocean and Indian Ocean. Take a guided tour of the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia and learn what life was like for the lighthouse keepers and their families. We have lunch at either the Colour Patch overlooking the Beautiful Blackwood River or at Hamelin Bay Wines with magnificent views over their Karridale vineyard.
Enjoy some free time in town to stroll along the main street and maybe pick up a special memento or gift to take home.
We head to a great local cafe for breakfast. We then visit Yahava KoffeeWorks. The good people at Yahava are passionate about coffee, and take us through a tasting of their range. They travel worldwide looking for the best coffee beans which are roasted in-house.
We then visit a winery, either Redgate or Brown Hill. They are both family owned and operated and each have an incredible range of award-winning wines. For our second winery visit in the afternoon, we offer a cheese and wine pairing. We look at matching Camembert, Smoked & Vintage Cheddars from the Margaret River Dairy Co with some of our favourite boutique wines.
Our last stop is at an olive oil producer. Experience firsthand the subtle flavours of extra virgin olive oil, including unique citrus pressed oils and sensational infused oils. They also have an incredible range of condiments & balsamic. Unwind and enjoy a delicious lunch accompanied with a glass of local beer or wine.
We then make our way back to Perth and arrive at approximately 6pm.
Today is yours to enjoy at leisure in Perth. You may wish to visit Rottnest Island, or spend the day in bohemian Leederville - the choice is yours!
Your deluxe journey comes to an end today. At the appropriate time, make your own way to the airport for your onward journey.

Fitness Requirements

You will typically spend several nights at one location which means less time spent packing and unpacking, and more sightseeing. Tipping
A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. While tipping is not customary, it's of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many destinations.
You may also consider tipping your tour leader and driver for outstanding service throughout your trip. Remember, a tip is not compulsory and should only be given when you receive excellent service.
