Meet Steph, Outsource Operations Manager
Since joining Inspiring Vacations as a Travel Specialist and making a move to Customer Service Team Leader, Steph has thrived and was recently promoted to Outsource Operations Manager focusing on all our outsourced operational services. Here are Steph’s thoughts about joining Inspiring Vacations and how she has found a better way.
Why did you join the Inspiring Vacations team?
I joined because the customer-focused team approach resonated with me and I knew that joining a company with exciting growth plans would also provide plenty of progression opportunities. I love that I can work from home some days and work flexible hours to suit my studies. Plus, I enjoy working in a team with like-minded, fun and experienced professionals.
What do you love about your job?
Inspiring Vacations strongly promote personal development within your role and encourage you to take advantage of opportunities within different departments such as Marketing, Product or Operations. In my new role as Team Leader I enjoy coaching and mentoring team members, developing new processes and continuing to assist our customers.
What are your favourite company perks?
I have already been offered two international travel opportunities and have recently returned from Canada to train our new Customer Service team there. I must also say that I love having a kitchen filled with snacks!
How would you describe the company culture?
Inspiring Vacations culture is nothing like I have experienced before. Everyone truly cares, supports and respects each other, and every department within the business is interconnected. Everyone, regardless of their role, spends time each week working in customer service, including our Managing Director! We have fun, and enjoy celebrating our success with our monthly (long) lunch!
What would you say to people considering joining our team?
Do it! It’s fantastic to be a part of an Australian owned and operated company that is growing rapidly both within Australia and overseas. It’s amazing to see the constant development of new tours, and release of extra dates due to demand. It’s exciting to be a part of the glowing feedback from customers and the future to come.
