Day 2

Athens

Today, enjoy a city tour of Athens. Your city tour starts with the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896. Continue and pass by the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma). On the Acropolis visit, the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon.

Day 3

Athens Thebes Delphi Kalambaka

Leaving Athens this morning we depart early for Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova. On arrival at Delphi we visit the famous archaeological site. Here you will have the chance to visit the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios, and learn the story of this brave God's triumph over the dragon that guarded the "Omphalos". Visit the marble Treasury of the Athenians, built to store the rich offerings of grateful kings. Afterwards, we proceed to the small picturesque city of Kalambaka, passing through beautiful villages and cities of Central Greece, all built according to the traditional local architecture.

Day 4

Kalambaka Meteora Athens

After breakfast we visit unique rock formations of Meteora with Christian monasteries perched on top. It is truly fascinating to visit the interior part of them, but also enjoy the amazing views. Return to Athens via Thermopylae where we enjoy a short stop to see across the Leonida's Monument. On arrival in Athens enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 5

Athens Santorini

Today you’ll be transferred to the port for an early morning high speed ferry to the breathtaking Island of Santorini. Here you’ll have plenty of free time to soak up the sun and relax on the beach or perhaps explore the picturesque capital, Fira.

Day 7

Santorini Mykonos

Today, you’ll be collected and transferred to the port to board the high speed ferry to Mykonos and explore the white-washed town. According to mythology, Mykonos was formed from the petrified bodies of giants killed by Hercules. In contrast to other Cycladic capitals, the capital town (Hóra) of the island is not built in the shape of an amphitheatre but instead spreads out over a wide area. It is one of the best examples of Cycladic architecture and a spellbinding attraction for visitors.

Mykonos Kusadasi

Today you will be transferred to the port for a midday ferry towards the island of Samos before transferring to the ferry to Kusadasi, Turkey. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel where your Turkey guide will welcome you.

Kusadasi Ephesus Kusadasi

Today join your guide and absorb yourself in the history of Ephesus including a visit to the site of the Temple of Artemis. Feel the mystical atmosphere of the ancient city and theatre before continuing to the former Greek village of Sirince, famous for its fruit wines. Carpet weaving has long traditions in Turkey and at the carpet village we learn how the carpets are made by hand and what determines their value.

Day 11

Kusadasi Pamukkale

This morning we enjoy a display of locally handcrafted leather goods before heading to the magnificent white calcium terraces, known as Travertines, in Pamukkale. Dip your feet in volcanic water and learn how the ‘cotton castle’ hills have been formed over time. We also tour the ancient city of Hierapolis, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hierapolis, whose name means "sacred city," was believed by the ancients to have been founded by the god Apollo. Take a dip, amongst ancient columns, in the hot springs that were used in Roman times for their therapeutic powers. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 12

Pamukkale Aphrodisias Fethiye

Today we drive south towards the Mediterranean coast, visiting the ancient site of Aphrodisias along the way. The temple of Aphrodite dates from the 3rd century BC and the city was built one century later. The wealth of Aphrodisias came from the marble quarries and the art produced by its sculptors. The city streets are arranged around several large civic structures, which include temples, a theatre, an agora and two bath complexes which are still visible to this day. Tonight our hotel is located in the coastal town of Fethiye.

Fethiye Kayakoy Antalya

Leaving Fethiye this morning we make our way to Kayakoy. The morning light provides excellent photos of this deserted Greek village. After time at the ghost village, we drive to the resort town of Antalya. Here we will take a walking tour of the old town area of Antalya known as "Kaleiçi". Amongst other things we'll visit Hadrian's Gate, the Ancient Harbour and Suna-Inan Kiraç Kaleiçi Museum which even has a Greek Orthdox Church in its garden!

Day 15

Antalya Aspendo Manavgat Waterfalls Antalya

Today, we will visit the famous theatre at Aspendos. Aspendos is located to the east of Antalya and is known for one of the best-preserved ancient amphitheater, built in the 2nd century AD during the reign of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius. The theater has a capacity of 15,000 people and is still used today for performances and festivals. Then we will visit Manavgat Waterfalls for a pleasant resting spot before returning to Antalya.

Konya

Early departure for Konya. It has historical significance as the hometown of the whirling dervish orders and a bastion of Seljuk culture. On arrival, enjoy time at leisure.

Day 17

Konya Goreme Cappadocia 

Today we depart for Cappadocia visiting Sultanhani Caravansary, the largest in Anatolia. It’s enchanting, marvellous and splendid architecture grabs visitors. Its rectangular planned structure covers a massive area, giving it a castle like appearance. We then continue onto Cappadocia and marvel at the lunar landscape with a in-depth tour of Goreme Valley, the fairy chimneys, Uchisar castle and more. The next two nights, stay in an Inspiring Stay cave hotel, carved out of the rock face. The hotel features an impeccable blend of luxury, beauty, style and cultural heritage.

Day 18

Cappadocia Pigeon Valley Underground city Cappadocia 

Today we visit trek through the Pigeon and Love Valleys and explore the many levels of an underground city. Guvercinlik Vadisi (Pigeon Valley) earned its name from the countless man made dovecotes (Pigeon Houses) that have been carved into the soft volcanic tuff. Since ancient times Pigeons have been used in the Cappadocia region for food and fertiliser for the infertile soil. While pigeons no longer play such an important role in the area, their rocky homes have still been maintained by locals and can be found atop rock pillars. This afternoon is free at leisure.

Optional tour: Hot Air Ballooning - Start the day with a balloon ride over the moonscapes of Cappadocia. The experienced pilots take you deep into the valleys and rise as high as 2000 feet.

Cappadocia Ankara Istanbul

We leave early today and head to the nation's capital, Ankara, where we visit Anitkabir, mausoleum of the famed Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was a Turkish army officer, revolutionary, and founder of the Republic of Turkey and a hero of the nation. After, we continue on to Istanbul.

Istanbul

Today we tour the exotic city that spans both Europe and Asia. Visit the St Sophia Museum, Topkapi Palace, the Hippodrome and of course, the Blue Mosque. Sultanahmet Camii ( Blue Mosque ) is one of the most magnificent building in Turkey. It was designed as an imperial show of strength to complement the imposing Hagia Sophia, which faces it across Sultanahmet Square. Unlike the Hagia Sophia, however it is supported by four 'elephant foot' pillars, and the central dome.

Tonight, get ready for an Inspiring Taste at a Turkish folklore evening to celebrate your time in Turkey. A great night out where dinner, unlimited beer, wine, Turkish Raki, soft drinks and entertainment is all included! Peak Season Surcharge

Certain dates have surcharges due to peak season travel. These are due to the airfares and accommodation rates being more expensive during this time. The surcharge will be added to the final payment invoice for your booking.

All Australian passport holders will require a visa to enter Turkey. The visa must be issued prior to departing Australia.

Triple share: is available - twin share price $5,999 x 3 

Premium Economy Upgrade: Not available.

Business Class Upgrade: Available from an additional $5,500 per person in addition to the standard price (subject to availability).
